I was reading an article about a woman who was approached at a bar buy a guy, who whispered in her ear, stating that he would like to take her home and tie her up and make love to her. Well it was a turn on for her and she went with him. They immediately went to the bedroom, and she asked, are you going to tie me up? He went in his night stand and took out a shoe string and said this is all I have. Now this was a total turn off for her, and was no longer interested. She asked him to get her a beverage, and she slipped out the door. My question for the forum is, Would you have stayed or would you slip out like the woman in the article? This question could be for a guy or a girl.

difficult to relate, I would not go home with some stranger in a bar for sex, especially not TIED up (helpless) sex

I could consider things like that only with someone I knew VERY Well, in fact, only if we were married,,lol

but IF I were the type that wasn't bothered by the whole sex with a complete stranger thing, I imagine I would have helped him out, we could have probably found some belts in the closet or used our underclothes as ties,,,plenty of other option he just might not have thought of

I may be a bit put off about him pulling a shoestring out of his drawer, I did not realize men even KEPT shoestrings around anymore,,,but um, if I had taken it that far already,,,,I could probably overlook that little oddity.

This will never EVER happen to me.

BUT if I were that woman, once I get turned off, it would be sayonara, ciao, hasta la vista, baby.

It's like the guy saying "I'm hung like a horse." and to find out he was not hung at all. In fact it was the size in width and length of a triple A battery. Big disappointment and turn off, wouldn't you say? Run, baby, run!

my two cents

That article might be bogus, I've tried that pick up line way back? But I tried it without the "make love" angle, surprised frustrated

"Stringing her along." I get it.

Are you sure this wasn't from a joke book that was missing the punch line page?

Anyway. Since I am a heterosexual male, in order to answer this, I have to make some alterations. No stranger-at-a-bar, especially not a GUY at a bar, no offer out of the blue to perform sexual tricks with someone I just barely met.

If you ask instead, how I would react to pretty much ANY bait and switch trick someone decided to pull, I can answer that. I've been played that way as a young man, learned the hard way that there IS no positive result that can come from such a situation, so like the girl in the story, I would just walk away without another word.

That's it. Never allow a liar to stay on your emotional payroll.

also, I have to consider that someone saying they would 'like' to do something is not a commitment or promise that they are 'able' to do something, particularly that same moment

I may say I would LIKE to lick chocolate off of his lips, that is not a promise that I have chocolate at home at that time though,,,
