I thought Trump's rhetoric on the campaign trail was just that, Rhetoric. I didn't think he was going to bring all of his horse **** into the White House and his administration. As it stands to day, Trump is turning out to be a very ineffective president. He should have been aware that he wasn't going to be very popular with the majority of the American people. To win support for himself and his goals in office, he needed to be cautious about what he said and very diplomatic in his dealing with people especially with members of his own party.
With Trump's pugilistic attitude, bluster, general ignorance about issues, fragile ego, etc., I don't see him surviving as president. He'd have to make 180 degree change in his behavior to salvage his presidency. Perhaps the best thing for him and the country is to resign. I could live with Pence! |

If more people understood that the Democrats and Republicans are not their only options we might have a new dawn in American politics. |

Trump was not voted in by the people. If it hadn't been for the electoral college, Mr Orange would have never made it in. If we went by what the people said, Hillery Clinton would now be the first female president. If more people understood that the Democrats and Republicans are not their only options we might have a new dawn in American politics.
AMEN to that! I get so tired of hearing all the Dem versus Rep bullshat. |

AMEN to that! I get so tired of hearing all the Dem versus Rep bullshat. I didn't say anything about how the country voted. I was talking what I PERSONALLY heard. He got the electoral vote (as it has been in this country for a while). I never cared for either |

no he was clever to 'promise' so many opposite things so that he was sure to be seen as 'trying' to follow through on some of them,,,, I am curious. What were the "opposite things" you mention? I don't pay much attention to every detail politically so am curious what you present as opposites. with immigrants for example, he said all these things 'deport all illegal immigrants immediately' 'focus on the criminal illegal immigrants first' 'no citizenship' 'maybe a path to citizenship' or from a total complete shutdown of muslims entering to a shutdown of muslims from countries with 'history of terrorism' to the ban is negotiable or from close the borders to just be careful ,,,to name a few,, he said so many conflicting things, it would be unlikely that he would not 'try' some of them it would be like me saying, Im going to bake cookies, AND Im not going to bake cookies at the end of the day ONE of the things I said will be true,,,, yes, obarry said all of those things, and even more... you can keep your doctor, or it will be cheaper! lets close Guantanamo down.. the biggest lie - "hope and change"... difference is Obama never ALSO said you couldnt keep your doctor or he wouldnt close guantanamo his position on those thing was consistent, he 'tried' those things, but he did not accomplish them,,, no, he said you could keep your doctor and he would close Guantanamo... everything he said was a lie, and you whine about trump? no, he said what he would 'try' but not everything he tried succeeded, but like the current POTUS, he 'tried',,,so he similarly gets credit for his attempts to do what he said,, right? no, he did not say "try" ... he lied right from the start, and never stopped... glad he's gone... are you gunna write your own "special" history so that it suits whats going on in your mind? SO? Trump has never said 'try' either,, but his advocates are impresed that he is at least 'trying',, even when he is failing,,, there is no special history, there is government and how it works, those who understand it never expect a president to 'promise' anything since a president has no power to do much of anything without COOPERATION from congress,,, some dont accomplish the campaign 'promises' and are deemed LIARS but others are given credit for at least 'trying' the rewrite is with the hypocrites holding this double standard, not with me,,, yea, i agree... there should be more immigrants on the way out... but the liberals are keeping his hands tied on this... oberry blatantly screwed people on the ACA, and lied every step of the way, him and his crones like pulosi and killery... trump has nothing to gain but a better country for us all, while obarry was just another go in broke, cone out rich lackey who took advantage of everything and everyone... trump has nothing to gain by lying to you, he has all the money and power he needs to get the job done right... wrong,, yet again Trump is gaining plenty on the value of his NAME by being president, and since his NAME is what amasses his fortune,, that is plenty to gain,, Obama was far from broke when elected as well, being in a marriage with a working wife, investments, and money from book deals, he was already a millionaire when sworn in |

@ a lie
easily researchable and verifiable, via tax returns (which OBama DID release) but keep believing the 'truth' of suspicious deaths around clinton and the 'fakeness' of anything that does not praise and exhalt the orange billionaire,,, |

Yea, but whose SSN did he use? Certainly wasn't his |
|
|
|
maybe it was Elvis pressleys, traded at a card game they had back in 2008
Certainly a verifiable fact, just like Obamas SSN not being his own,,, |

I can agree, having mature and/or logical discussion on the topic of politics is very difficult, just like discussing religion.

This is why I don't like talking politics with most people. A lot have no idea what they are talking about. Most are based on conjecture. It doesn't matter if they have their facts straight or not. And some are so silly with their thinking, it's just too hard to have an intelligent conversation with them about it. A lot of them, when you point out facts to them, they get snippy. It ain't worth it. pot-kettle?... your rants on trump isn't any different... |

Some people will follow blindly. I'm not one of them. As a matter of fact, Seems he has stuck his foot in his mouth again when he opened his mouth about Charlottesville. |

Actually that's what I like about him the best - he keeps putting his foot in his mouth and he continually contradicts himself. He says what he thinks people want to hear. He's not even a good businessman - he owes more $ than he takes in. That's how he conducts business by borrowing $ & suing anyone who gets in his way - no surprise he won't release his tax returns. He justifies his position but if someone else did that he'd be all over the place ranting. |
