There are still some good churches out there, but a person has to do what's known as "church shopping". These good ones still help those in need, when they can, and say prayers for others, etc. However, there are also spiritual people, who don't attend church and prefer to worship in the woods, to be closer to God and that I can understand. Some of the churches have such arrogant people in them that I wouldn't set foot in them, ever. In the town I live in, some snob fussed because people didn't want to dress up for church. It shouldn't matter what a person wears, it's what in their heart that counts. It's people like that that will chase people away from a church. The new and better attitude is "come as you are". And I love that! (And, yes, this means jeans.) My daughter and I had attended a progressive church I guess it's called, and the minister wore jeans. He was awesome. love

I've 'heard of' a church that still works in phrophecies, miracles etc, and love is a definite key.But I've seen too much of the Holy Ghost moving and being stiffled because people want to cut it off out of fear and ignorance.

For instance praying intongues is somthing important that I do regularly, but many deem it as being 'wrong' or write it off because they are afraid or don't 'understand' it or it's true purpose. Keeping the gifts of the Holy Spirit away from the masses is a sick way of feigning and trying to keep 'control' over people when there could be so much power unleashed and finally let the church"break out" of stagnation.-

Jesus, I pray that you would allow your Spirit to move in this place and allow a sweet flow to come. Allow freedom to come and destroy all the works which hinder you to move here tonight and throughout the week. Move here tonight. Give hope to those with sick loved ones, heal them as their loved ones pray and lay hands on them, in Jesus name I pray this fervently and allow your touch to come.

Cancer is as spiritual as it is physical, know this and have faith, it will go away with just a touch.-

This church is all about gifts....When the Lord God blesses you with gifts especially there can be no doubt of His realness and His Love. And I was cured by faith of both breast and ovarian cancer so I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that my faith is non wavering.

Father!!!

You speak clearly and with calm.

I am still.

We enter in unto your presence as though you read our thoughts.

Hard and calloused are our challenging remarks of you.

Like stones we have become.

We are petrified with doubts and fears.

Our hearts cling to few tender beats.

Speak! acknowledge the tender place, most remembered.

Soften our hope with faith.

Love! as we give you a place.

Sieze us!!!!!!! That we may know you.

Soften the softest places with your presence.

Acknowledge that you know these places deeply hidden.

And we will remember you there.

In Jesus name I pray.

AMEN

Yes indeed brother. When you love someone purely with no way to get somthing in return then you have found the love Jesus walked in. Why would a creator take on the form of his creation, it benefitted him nothing. Pure love.

That's awesome.bigsmile I would love to have a church where a homeless man can walk in and still get doded on , loved and hugged and no one would think twice about it. There should be no 'back door' ministering, come as you are 'indeed' and come in the 'front' door, you are welcome and loved no matter who you are. You are important and we want to help you unlock your' true potential through Christ. Welcome.happy

Makes me feel all giggly.laugh

Wouldee, you are an inspiration and a "living" song. If I never met you here I wouldn't believe that such a man truly existed. What a find you are.flowerforyou

I~ FRIENDS ~

As we walk our path of life,
We meet people everyday.
Most are simply met by chance.
But, some are sent our way.

These become special friends
Whose bond we can't explain;
The ones who understand us
And share our joy and pain.

Their love contains no boundaries.
So, even we are apart.
Their presence enhances us
With a warmth felt in the heart.

This love becomes a passageway,
When even the miles disappear.
And so, these friends, God sends our way,
Remain forever near

Awesome poem! Very inspiring. I have been "quietly" reading the posts and I have to give an amen to you all: feralcatlady, wouldee, and nuenjins (I'm biased here...you truly are heaven sent nuenjinssmooched ). Kudos to you all for speaking through your soul and teaching the newbies or ignorant people. God bless all of you.

Lord I want to thank you for all you have done by speaking your love through your messengers; please touch the hearts of the naive and allow your love to shine through and encourage their spirits to rule over their so-called "disbeliefs". Give them the knowledge to understand with appropriate love and dedication to you, Lord. Take off their blinders and encourage them to see your inspiration through all you do! ...and thank you, Jesus, for what you have sent my way, I am truly blessed beyond belief! bigsmile happy

Iluv, love you back babesmooched

I'd like to keep a log of prayers and answers so that I can share more up to date evidences with the skeptics and to encourage other followers as well. I was going to log them privately as there is no notepad option per se on the site itself. No one else needs to do anything, I thought it just right to inform others what I'd like to do.

Anyway.

I noticed that the word "hipocrit" is popular in Christian circles today. However I think even I have misused this some. We all do wrong and we are only to point to Christ and not to ourselves or any other person. Deviating from the word of God and sinning isn't always intentional, but we do it. Ceasing to walk and choosing to stop is really the only unforgivable sin. What I'm saying is that in order to say "hipocrit" you would have to observe another person over time and see if they are truly repentant of their sin. I think many of us see achristian when they slip and readily yell "hipocrit" when in reality they just messed up.(kick a man when he's down instead of persuing to help him up) I repent here publicly for doing that in my life, not on this site, but in my travelings. There are problems in the church but quickly yelling "hipocrit" will harden us to loving each other.

I have a story brewing but I need to get back to the real world and finish chores, maybe even eat.bigsmile

thank you sweets.....that was very sweet....You all know this is a narrow path we walk.....But one I walk gladly and proudly....and its such a blessing to have other believers in this site. I have been doing on-line ministry for a very long time...but this is the first time that I have not been alone....And I am so grateful and blessed for that.

I want to share something with you that is so meaningful to me. I know how important it is to be in the word.....and not just a zip through but daily and setting the time to read his word...and then really being quiet to listen to the Father God.

I Knelt to Pray……..But

I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.....
All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die.
I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God! held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find
I once was going to write it down...
But never found the time"

You are a phenominal poet. That is very soothing to the soul. It shows how we are not alone in our fight for the acceptance of christianity. I will keep fighting just as you have!

I have felt the Spirit of God move in church and have been used myself in that manner and in the New testament gifts of the Spirit. So I know what it feels like when I sense His presence move and when it is stifled.

There seems to be a spirit of religion as in wrong thinking and brainwashing passed down to unsuspecting pastors who go through semanary founded by someone hooked on recreating their own religious experience. These semanaries fixate on certain well worn paths that define their dimensions of reason about God, therefore limiting Him and His ability to find a willing vessel without preconceived notions and wrong ideas.

We are in an era of stagnation because of this epidemic. We are confused, separated and bewildered because deep inside most of our leaders don't know how to handle Gods movement never being equipped properly but being reproduced from a former mans thinking.

I've learned that if you sense somthing amiss in church that you're probably accurate. Not to be critical because most pastors are unaware that the problem even exists. I have felt the Spirit pass over me and just as somthing seemed to be ready to come forth......nothing. I have exsperienced it done right also, so I know what I'm speaking of. Can anyone else relate to my sensitivity on this?flowerforyou

quenching the spirit does not quench the hunger and thirst.

quenching the fear that God will not answer does....

...quench the quench.

removing doubt and fear from quenched congregations involves

entering into another man's work if done in the flesh and not in the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Oft times the leading of the Holy Spirit is to find the one

whose hunger and thirst is not being quenched and bringing

faith to bear for ignition of faith in the earnest one(s) for the witness of unspeakable joy revealed in the one sent to.

When faith is re-ignited and fear and doubt shed off in one , one accord may be rebuilt : God is free to move by His Holy Spirit and give the increase of His Love.

The oneness of fellowship in love may be restored in Him and the confidence increased.
But men must decrease and the Lord increase.

The song must be melodious and not brakish noise.

Unity and the knitting together of a family of friends that endures all, come what may.

Maturity and wisdom may follow .

Wholeness is followed by growth.

I believe in the 'unity', but if the spiritual leader is quick to move on and not 'wait on God' he is doing a great injustice and I think it's the critical point keeping the church back.

"Everything done in order", however no one has taught the people 'how' to move in the gifts because they (pastoral heads) don't know themselves. As I've said, love is the key but there is so much more, ande if you're not moving ahead the 'stagnation' sets in.

The modern day church is not as 'maniacal as many of the pharisees were, but useless rules and traditional ideas have nontheless had a detrimental effect just the same.

Can anyone else attest to this?
