This is a free country... I should be allowed to drive drunk if I want to.
Why is it illegal?... give me one good reason.

Dead bodies..gone before their time.

I agree...even though it could be argued that only a small percent of drunk drivers actually cause severe accidents, we are willing to restrict and condemn the entire drunk driving community from getting behind the wheel.
Why does half of the country not get this.
Support your President.:flag_us:

Well, that's an unusual point to take...but I'm game!

Ok, first of all as a member of the Alchohol consumption Council or (ACC!) , WE believe that driving drunk is a form of alcohol abuse. Such innocent fumes, what harm did they do to anyone??? I ask you?!?!?!
So when you drive drunk and and splatter yourself all over your dash, killing yourself, not to mention the poor smucks in the next car, house, crowd, 7-11 or post...well that is alcohol, that was gone before it's time.

So a PSA, please don't drive drunk...the next pint you save...could be mine!

Drive drunk! Hell do some coke and jump off the deep end if you feel it necessary!Lmao! Just kidding reality is we all make better decisions when sober. Sometimes the situation can just get the best of you. Just remember you wouldn't have gotten with that fat chick at the end of the bar. If alcohol hadn't wispered in your ear.

Driving isn't a right.
Being drunk and driving isn't exercising a right.

I could see an argument for walking around town all drunk shouldn't be a crime (drunk and disorderly) (liberty).
Or even drunken public masturbation being freedom of speech.
Or even drinking yourself to death, suicide, your life/body your choice.

But you have no right to drive.
That's a privilege granted to you by your state.
Driving while drunk is publicly abusing a privilege due to its high potential to cause harm (property damage, death, impairment leading to inability to adhere to traffic laws).

It's a relatively free country for you to express your rights.
"Free" isn't an absolute.

No, not a privilege. The country isn't free. If it were, someone would already have taken it home with them.

Also, you absolutely CAN drive drunk. Just not legally or safely.

Well, I would ask why is suicide a crime....

I think it's wrong but if someone tries and fails, why punish them? Who did they hurt?

And Maxter, spend some of your pocket change and buy your own island where you can drive drunk all you want!! laugh

1) Because the road keeps moving on you.

2) Because you can't see the car ahead of you when you're painting the pavement outside your door window.

3) Because somebody took your keys.

4) Because you couldn't find your car.

5) Because you fell asleep at the bar.

6) Because when she said, "Let me take you home tonight", you thought she meant you were gonna get lucky instead.
