I don't have that ability, but when she was alive, my grandmother did. I remember when I was young, she could tell who was calling before she got the phone, know what girls in the family were going to have a baby.. During WW2, she told two of her sons not to sail on a particular ship (they were in the merchant marine). She said the ship would be torpedoed and sunk with the loss of most of the crew and the rest would not come home till after the war. The boys listened. The ship was sunk, most of the crew lost their lives and the remainder were taken prisoner and did not get home till after the war.

I believe she still watches over me.

I've been told I have an uncanny ability to read people but I just chock it up to being perceptive of their signals. I pay attention.

The TV Show "The Mentalist" was based on Simon Baker's ability to read people and situations. It was a bit far-fetched but basically the same thing I do.

We all possess a bit of remote sensing when we are connected deeply to someone. I figure it is because we know them well and know their routines enough that we can correctly guess where they are and what they are doing sometimes. What is strange is that we seem to concentrate on when we are right and not when we are wrong.
We are wrong more times than right but we fail to consider those fails as a result.

I remember watching those old spoon-benders bending silverware with their minds. Then someone showed me how to do it. Hint: It involves friction and heat and metal expansion rates.

With all this being said, I believe there are secrets of the brain that are not a common genetic trait.
Given enough generations all kinds of genetic abnormalities can happen.
Albino-ism is one such evolutionary mutation.
Why can't there be similar mutations concerning the brain's abilities.
I have not personally met anyone with 'powers' but I do acknowledge it 'could' happen.

I can tell ppl about themselves when I first meet them...it's not like a huge revelation but I'm about to tell to intuit their story/life.....

wish i could too....might be very interesting.....once had this half deaf friend that was taught ti read lips was fun goin out with her cause she would always know what was being said clear across the room...so this other would be kinda awsome to do that but would be a burden as well.....

Believe me, you DON'T want this ability. It only make things harder.
If only I could forget or unlearn some of the things I know.
Imaginen seeing other's delusions and not being able to give them clarity because it might bring them pain.

How do you decide to break their illusion or allow it to give them comfort? Where is that line in the sand?

Sometimes it is just better to do or say nothng. Let things progress as they are intended.
Reality is not for everyone. Sometimes the delusion is needed, why rob someone of that? There are other ways.

i can only see about 2 minutes into the future, and only dangerous things... helps with a few things, but useless other than saving a life, mostly mine...

was this someone you loved? my father is up there in age, 89, and his mind seems to be going downwards... i just listen to him talk to people that i can't see, but i've always heard that children and older folks have the ability to see these things, and i don't see it doing any good to argue with him about whether they are real or not...

Yes and no.
I face a decision anytime I see someone lost in delusion.
Delusions are not always pronounced and they are more common that people wish to believe. Everyone is deluded in one way or another. Its how we cope with reality that we refuse to embrace for whatever reasons. Some delusions actually give us peace, who am I to destroy someone's peace?

This is being tried here moe, mixing very young pre school kids with old people. who are on the edge of dementia. The interaction is amazing. I found this with my brothers farther in law before he passed away. (not my brother )
I knew something of his past, serving in Iraq in the 50s, the factory he worked in in the 70's, 80s, if I started him off he'd talk for hours. yet couldn't recall an hour previous. It may be a reassurance thing with the young and old, knowing someone /something is there and is just for them?

I am afraid to admit that I can do all of that quite easily. People also claim that I can read minds but that is really neurolinguistics which I can do instantaneously. It just appears to be mind reading (now you know my trick).

I am not a clairvoyant or a psychic but I have witnessed ghosts on the ghost hunts I go on and do have some good shadowmen pictures.

I have taken photos of 'ghosts' in the blackness of a midnight jail tour, without using a flash. They were redish bluish whispy spirals of colour, on the photo print (old fashioned film photos), in a building with no lights in it, no exit signs, no motion detector LED's, no lights at all to cause reflections or dust mote, orbs etc.

Does any psychic feel that they get information from the 'Akashic record', if it exists ?

I have had psychics tell me of close people hanging around me after their death, describing them physically quite accurately, and what they were 'saying'; one old friend was very abusive and didn't want to leave, and go away - just his style; another old mate was warning me about smoking.

Where does this knowledge come from ? It has puzzled me for decades.

About 35 years ago a psychic told me of my future life, with great detail. Telling me things I thought impossible and would NEVER happen. Much I just didn't believe at all. She recorded it all to cassette tape, and told me I would lose the info somehow, but would remember it all later.
After 20 years I gave up on her words coming true, but then it all happened.

She was right in every aspect. And now I am confused. How did she know ?

Did her words pre-seed my future, for time to then make fruitful and come true, or did she see actual future events.

What the hell is going on here ?
