I would love to know how on line dating works. I seem to attrack men I am not really interested in. They either live a million miles away. Or they live with my community and are just not my type. How does this work? Maybe I dont understand how it works. I am confused.

This works by you just being you, let your personality come thru and you will attract people that you have things in common with.

On line dating is just like any other... its hit and miss. At least on here though you make friends too. One thing about on line dating is that there are a LOT of lies that go around. If you finally meet someone on line that you would like to meet in person remember that they can now trace your address through your phone number on Google. BE CAREFUL... always meet in a very public place in daylight first. Its a scary world out there but occasionally you'll meet a very nice person. And on this site you meet a lot of nice people...even if you never meet them in person.

the mutal matches never live in the state of TX. And the guys who do are OLDER.
I am surprised to live how much older men seem to like me maybe it is the same in the real world I just smile and blow them off.
I guess I should be flattered but how do you tell a guy you just arent that into them. No I dont want a guy who lives in CA or NY or who is recieving Social Security.
Is it just me or is this a good way to build a real life or a virtual life? Has anyone really met anyone off of here??

I have not met anyone from JSH, and I'm quite sure I never will.

I have made some great friends during my time here, but they are all 897,000 miles away -- the locals will not respond to e-mails, so there is no point in pursuing them.

"Real life" vs. "virtual life"? Some people have had real-life success here, and that's a wonderful thing. But I have yet to run across anyone even remotely "datable" here, and I see JSH more as a friends site, a conversational site, than a dating site. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

for me jsh is just fun "meeting and talking" w/ new people i would never meet in real life...as far as a datig site i have a lot more success in the real world...good luck to you though

I understand now thanks. I am not a pen pal type. I have real friends all over the world I have to keep up with I am not exactly looking for new ones. But I understand what this site is all about now.
