Branches, stripped bare of foliage
wind adds strength to the carnage
Icy fingers cling to naked twigs
with reflections mirrored in pools
silent, still and limpid
Winter wears her coat of shingled finery
A gray sky keeps the sun in captivity

The cold of night turns new pages
Howling winds over the horizon rages
decrescent moon in the heavens bright
keeping guard o'er a frosty night
Winter's bridal veil of white
stretches far into the night
claiming land and sea and skies
While daylight's fragile mantle gently lay
where light and shadow interplay

It sure is sis,but I do love winter, especially when it snows and I can sit by the coal fire and not venture out How are you in yourself, how is that cold of yours, did you manage to shift it ?

Yes, winters cold deathly fingers wraps itself around everyone, while we envision what it will be like when Spring arrives wishing for all to be new again...that was really well written Bonny. I'm glad the heat is on.

I miss winter...There's just something about palm trees and 80 degrees that makes I'm dreaming of a white christmas come to mind....
