Yeah I hear ya. the day was totally not what it was supposed to be. My kids were gone, and a family friend went to the hospital and is dying, so it wasn't the greatest holiday!!! Gotta look at the positives I guess....

This is my first round of holidays since separating from wife, I didn't want to go over and eat with her and the kids, it's just to painfull, so I opted to work instead. There is nothing going on, so here I am too. I will spend time with the kids Christmas day, and I am off that week and can spend time with them then too.

this is the first year that i spend thanksgiving without my mom, she is in south carolina with my sister and her soon to be husband visiting his family, it is hard to be alone for the holidays

I've been away from home during holidays I missed my family and friends but I was working. It does indeed suck being alone during the holidays.
