Good Day America, well my last topic on " Your City Is Next...OMG!" really surprised me was a hit. I didn't think you guys was up to talking about a different topic like that but I appreciated well I want to take it back to my Hot Tea topics of heated talk. okay, I don't know if you guys read the papers lately about White nationalist Richard Spencer's speech at Auburn Park University lately but its a trip, here we go. White Nationalist Richard Spencer speech at Alabama's Auburn University was preceded by controversy and punctuated Tuesday night by protest, arrest & violence. Hundreds of people, some chanting & carrying signs, & demonstrating outside Auburns Foy Hall on Tuesday. City of Auburn police captain Lorenza Dorsey told NPR that 3 people were arrested on disorderly conduct charges. The " Alt-Right" is a movement associated with racism, anti-Semitism, & misogyny. So my " Vocal Avengers" veterans & new what are your thoughts about Mr. Spencer here? Are you a supporter of freedom of speech or a hater of what he's about? I have to admit I don't know much about him so I am very curious about the guy and his views. Enlighten me more about his direction if you will , so lets get controversial together. can't wait to hear from you all.
P.S.- all Q's & Comments will be returned. |

I have no idea of who he is nor do I care who he is.
This appears to a race baiting subject that serves no good purpose to anyone. JMHO But, if that's your thing, knock yourself out. |

I feel that freedom of speech is paramount, I feel that there are always consequences to speech but that there should not be legal ramifications unless such speech intentionally guides and instructs others on how to cause physical harm. It is because there are so many topics that people would like to silence or ignore, that such freedoms are important. (ie, discussions on race or racism are 'race baiting', but discussions on violent Muslims or illegal immigrants get no 'baiting' labels) I believe in Mr. Spencers right to free speech like anyone else, I do not have to agree with what he is saying. The natural consequences of free speech, unlike legal ramifications, is exposure of one's beliefs and values to others, which in turn can cause either allegiance or alienation |

AlleOOps,
we have to keep a clear mind about this. His speech at this university stir a bad pot. He's a white nationalist that gave a speech I guess he mention some things against a group of people and it caused a uproar on this campus. So much anger it protestors against him speaking resorted in violence and anti Spencer chants. |

this whole media push to paint all white people as power hungry racists is out of control....who cares what Spencer said he's an idiot
|

what are your thoughts about Mr. Spencer here?
I don't think I've heard the name until now. Was that the guy who vocalized support for Trump and the media jumped on Trump for not immediately giving a speech denouncing the support? Are you a supporter of freedom of speech or a hater of what he's about?
I'm a proponent of free speech. I'm not a supporter of forcing people to listen to or care about what others are free speeching. Protestors, at least their current incarnation, seem to be "I have a right to say what I want in response, and you must listen and value what I have to say right now!" Enlighten me more about his direction if you will
That's what google searches and wikipedia and public libraries are for. Richard Spencer speech at Alabama's Auburn University was preceded by controversy and punctuated Tuesday night by protest, arrest & violence. Hundreds of people, some chanting & carrying signs, & demonstrating outside Auburns Foy Hall on Tuesday
All those protestors are free to rent a hall, or try to get invited by the university, and deliver their own speech in rebuttal to Richard Spencer's. The more they stand outside chanting, running amok, causing havoc, getting arrested, simply detracts from any opposition to the guy. |

Ms. Harmony,
You now this is going to sound funny coming from a guy that's anti establishment minded but you right. Regardless if you a supporter or hater of him, and his words he using he still have the right to voice his views without violence. People don't have to agree but that's the wonderful thing about human beings we can agree or disagree and keep moving. As longs as harm or violence against anyone is done well....we have to let them speak. I'm with you on that. |

For those want to know exactly what he throwing out there, here's some key stuff for you. Spencer's " Alt-Right" movement which he started describes He want to creates a new society, an ethno-state that will be gathering all Europeans which he says would be a peaceful ethnic cleansing. He's also a strong Trump Supporter. give me a minute I will run down his whole agenda....... |
|
|
|
37KO,
I totally agree with you but can we safe to say he has the right to voice his thinking? |
|
|
|
oh without a doubt!!! he can say whatever he wants, doesn't mean I'm listening to it...no use rioting or paying it any mind...it just gives an idiot's words power...one good thing about it is guys like him eventually just go away...we've all got the right to voice an opinion no matter if its offensive, ridiculous or otherwise but the newer generations dont seem to quite grasp the concept of freedom...especially when it comes to speech

being pro is never an issue unless it requires being anti
as a member of the African American race, and a female, and a mother I am pro-African American, pro-female, and pro mothers this doesn't require me to be anti non african american, anti male, or anti father inclusiveness and concern for our immediate experiences is never a concern unless they require us to put up opposition to and cause harm to or oppress others Or if we are in an ELECTED position that is meant to serve citizens from all backgrounds, and you focus on only serving certain backgrounds instead |

EyeAmYourHost39,
Here's what I found about Richard Spencer, his views that lead up to the violence during his speech from the group I personally calls the resistance protestors. here's what I found. 1. - Also Neo-Confederate speaks of traditional gender roles, is very hostile towards democracy, strongly opposes homosexuality, exhibits an understanding of race that favors segregation & suggest white supremacy. In many cases , Neo-Confederacy are openly secessionist. 2. - Dedicated to heritage, identity, future people of European descents in the united states and around the world. 3. - His worlds during his speech which was disturbing to me. His Words " We won the victory that's going to have echoes around the world and I don't mean echoes the way you mean echoes 100 racists in attendance directly by referring to the " Alt-Right" Practice of putting triple parentheses around Jewish Names. 4. - He wants American to become a white ethno-centric nation. 5. - He wont denounce the K.K.K. & Adolf Hitler. 6. - He Used to date an Asian Woman which contradiction his white supremacist beliefs. Okay, here's the kicker with him....read on! 7. - He claims he has ties to Stephen Miller which is the national policy director during Trump's transitional team. The good news during his speech at Auburn Park University in Alabama good white, young, college aged people who don't agree slowly walked out and it only left less than a hand full of people left who at least willing to listen to him. So why I posted this topic on him is because white America needs to realized the so-called race cards some non black & brown folks wants to point at black folks in America. But reading on a guy like this clearly tells you race will always be a factor in this country rather you want to admit it or not. Also as a black German myself let me say this, a couple of my "Vocal Avengers" which I love the conversing among them & myself but I want to clear terminology that maybe others don't know the difference. The difference between being Pro-Black & being a White Supremacist. Being Pro black means you have proud within yourself. Proud within your family, being accepting to what your fore mothers & fathers that will pass thru the generations but you love everybody not looking at your race or yourself being any superior over any people. Being a White supremacist is a person that sort of similar to pro black but a little more power, little more radicalness with the message of white pride & superiority. |

MightyMoe,
Yes Africa is the Motherland rather people want to accept that or not but I also think Jerusalem is also home to Melanin People as well better known as the true Hebrews. No you not racist for various reasons, I been conversing with you back & fourth for quite sometime. I can honestly say that you should have pride in who you are, and I can see that. Love being white, teach your kids about there heritage rather they Irish, Italian, Polish, German....Heyyyyyy!.. or Scottish. But when people use that method of self awareness the wrong way with" You Better than this person" " If I see this person in my neighborhood, I'm place a burning cross on there lawn", or " If you have economic power and you teach violence, sexism, and classism then yeah that person would be considered racist to me. |

This happened how it should have happened. 1. Some fringe douche-bag with awful views was still allowed to speak. 2. The violent antifa cowards were de-masked, preventing them from destroying property and attacking innocent people with M-80s, attempting murder w/ bike locks, strewing trash in the street setting things on fire. 3. The larger community of non-violent non-racist people made it known that they all think Spencer is a douche-bag with awful views. The " Alt-Right" is a movement associated with racism, anti-Semitism, & misogyny. The "alt right" doesn't even mean anything any more. We must be very careful when someone in the media uses that label. *Initially* it referred to a specific group of actual racists. Recently, many people have used the label for...anyone they want. Anyone they disagree with. Anyone they want to dishonestly smear as being racist. Many people who are unfamiliar with its origins have seen these conversations and said "Wait, the 'alt right' people sound like the good guys here, the honest people, the free speech people - I think I'm an alt-righter!" and those folks have nothing to do with white supremacy. The label means nothing these days. We must ask: "Why are they using the label? What is their goal in doing so? Are they being consistent and accurate?" what are your thoughts about Mr. Spencer here?
F him. Are you a supporter of freedom of speech or a hater of what he's about?
BOTH! Everyone can be both. Portions of the left are trying to convince people we must be *against* free speech, otherwise we are all racist nazis. Its stupid. It won't end well for us. I have to admit I don't know much about him
The man himself probably isn't worth your time, at this point. The drama surrounding him is worth analyzing, but that's all created by the left. Fools on the left are unaware of the free speech analog of the Streisand effect, and they are making this d-bag more powerful by trying to silence him. |
