Topic: ADVICE LDR ???? | |
---|---|
Ok just posted on LDR post.
I need advice from you wise ones you know who you are..... I just meet guy on other site. But he is over 100 miles away. He says he like to get off ranch on weekends. (His job) I own my farm not moving anytime soon. I told him too far. We have lots in common but I don't want a LDR. He says give him a chance to at least get to know him. etc. vice versa. Is it too soon to give phone number out? Should I shut it down right away because of distance? The pickens are slim to none where I live. It seems all the guys I find interesting are far far far away. Any advice? |

If it is too far for you that is end of story, right? S#&t or get off the pot. Don't string someone along and give them false hope.

If you just met the guy on line, it's too soon to make so many big decisions. Chat on line for a while and see how it goes.

I've let him know up front I think it's too far but will chat with him check him out etc. I let him know I own my farm not moving no way no how. I have too much time heart sweat blood & tears in this place. I
am still on the fence though. |

Don't ever feel like you're being coerced into making rash decisions. If it's meant to be, there's no need to rush.

ADVICE LDR ?
my advice is to avoid LDR's. I just meet guy ...Is it too soon to give phone number out?
You don't really meet someone until you're off the internet. I would advise you buy a disposable cell phone. Preferably with cash, buying minutes with cash. Or if you have a smart phone download an app that allows you to get a disposable phone number, where you call through the app number rather than your actual number. Should I shut it down right away because of distance?
I would. I'm not you. The pickens are slim to none where I live
The pickens are slim no matter where you go, if you're ultimately looking for just one person that compliments you to a high enough degree. It seems all the guys I find interesting are far far far away.
Any advice? Buy more cats. |

too soon to decide you have not even met get a phone agree to meet in a public place and see if the two of you want to actually date as it is, you are in fantasy land not dating... loneliness and frustration are not good motivation for a healthy relationship Also he is working so he is only available on week ends? Is that good if you were to date? Week ends alone??? you have many decisions to make before actually deciding to date or not I hope you give yourself some serious time to decide not jump the gun...

Are you looking to eventually have someone move in with you? Are you willing to share what you've worked so hard for? That question will eventaully come up. I don't know that i would start off by telling people you own your farm. There are people who just want to take advantage. Even though you just met the guy, what are your long term hopes. If it works out and you hit it off, what compromise are you both willing to make? LDR didn't work for me. Others deal with it beautifully. Good luck on your decision |

Any advice? Buy more cats. I agree with Sir Tom... except don't buy more cats. There are lots of cats waiting to be adopted at your local animal shelter... or just steal them from your neighbours. |

So meet him somewhere in the middle for a late afternoon coffee...if you hit it off, it could turn into him buying you dinner for more conversation..(and yes, I would make him pay)..If not, no harm, no foul..
and yea, don't blurt out your assets.. |
