I personally am not attracted to the first impression(profile photo) that has to do with being shirtless, taking bathroom selfies, holding a weapon or a drug or drink, or mean mugging like one is auditioning for a gang , but there are plenty of other fish in the sea

I guess I was raised proper. My great grandmother raised me
she always taught me modest is best leave something for the
imagination. A man should never appear at dinner table or
otherwise half naked. Whatever happened "FOR YOUR EYES ONLY"

But I totally understand what you're saying just just just hate it when women have half their clothing on when they message me...

Whenever I receive messages from cleavage exposing profile pic users, I often sympathise and wonder. Why no full-length photo? Could it be that they feel that more than their sense of style, character or even a smile come second place to those bad boys? After a long hard look, I'll move on to the next profile

This is my way of thinking....this site has rules (to balance out everyone). If I don't like a picture, I bypass it or report it. I was brought up conservative too, but I know not everyone is. Can't please everyone

Those that have pictures of the sort the OP is pointing out. Probably are proud of their physical appearance. Most women claim they want a guy that is confident. That would be a way to show confidence.

It's almost like why some women have pictures of themselves in lingerie. They figure they'll visually attract someone that they may be looking for. Usually though, when it comes to the women pictures like that described...It's usually a scammer.

The profiles with no profile pictures is so a turn off. You know what I look like, you know I am real and I have a few pics. I do not get why people would not put up a profile picture or complete their profile yet they want 'real people or serious people' to chat with them!
