Anyone notice that Trump seems to have ordered an invasion of Syria?
We now have American combatants on the ground there. Syria didn't invite us, so that's an invasion. I'm not seeing anything from the right or the left on this. What the heck? |

I'm not seeing anything from the right or the left on this. What the heck? ?.. what's the surprise here. He said from day one he was going to wipe I.S.I.S. off the map. He hired a proven general to do it.. all known facts. And now it is starting. Where do you think the majority of I.S.I.S terrorist are... Syria. So he is backing up his words.. and he sent MORE troops in ( they were already there). But these are not advisors.. they are Marines. And they are not there to advise.. they are there to fight. And that's Marines.. not American combatants.. ( a phrase I am sure you would not say to a actual U.S. Marine) you see, this is called action as opposed to the 8 years of after the attack crying episodes we got from Obama. |

Maybe I am missing something but the media didn't ignore this. I have seen it everywhere (including social media)
But, Obama actually started the plan for this before he left office and passed the plans to Trump. The Trump administration felt there were too many holes in Obama's plan. This isn't anything new. Not sure why the surprise. The media is all over anything Trump does. He sneezes funny...BAM it's in the news. ![]() https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/world/national-security/obamas-white-house-worked-for-months-on-a-plan-to-seize-raqqa-trumps-team-deemed-it-hopelessly-inadequate/2017/02/02/116310fa-e71a-11e6-80c2-30e57e57e05d_story.html |

ISIS is not a country or a nation. It is an organization.
The occupation is not an invasion of Syria it is an attempt to assist in removing the threat of an organization that is hostile to world order. There are mechanical snakes in a town. From that town they build more mechanical snakes that they send out to other towns to kill everyone that does not help them build more mechanical snakes. You see this happening and decide to go to that town and stop the mechanical snakes from building more mechanical snakes. Your intention is not to kill the people that live in the town but some of them will protect those mechanical snakes to the death. Since those mechanical snakes are killing people from other towns the threat is real and must be dealt with whether the original town asks for help or not. Some of the town's people and infrastructure that support the mechanical snakes and their production will be lost. If the goal is attained and there are no more mechanical snakes threatening other towns the sacrifice is justified for the benefit of all the other towns. |

thought Russia and Syria had it under control ... we have wanted the leader out for sometime now ... but Russia is their allies and they did not want the leader out ... so I don't get it either... |

If they are going to harm the US, F' them! |

Exactly, President Trump isn't trying to remove Assad or the Government of Syria. He is simply targeting ISIS or whatever the hell they call themselves now. |
