Have you had to do this? I sorta hated to set my filter to only receive mail from those 50 and older - as I thought I might have platonic conversations about music, movies or other shared interests ... but damn... every time I post in the forums, I almost immediately receive a half dozen messages with ages young enough to be my daughter. spock whoa slaphead

What kind of filters are you guys using, if any?

None. Lol but many have done what you did. Not to mention not looking for intimate encounter. rofl

I did about a week ago, when I found out I could actually do that laugh

I was getting a ton of messages from guys 20 to 30. It's been a lot better, at least I know they are around my age now. Although I rarely ever respond to any of them anymore because so many don't appear to be real. I also included a little statement telling who ever views me that if they want to meet me, they can do it here in the forums.

The other filters I set are to block married men and anyone looking for an intimate encounter.

How do you set the filter? I'm over trawling through all the young people.:grinning:

Go to "Mail Settings" in your mailbox. Then click on "Who can contact you". It gives you age requirements and other options as well.

Thanks a lot for advice :)) I'm sick of the messages from boys who are my kids' age.

Actually you set your email filters here:

I do not use the filters, never have.
One gets used to spotting scammers at a glance,
or underage or just the plain foolish :-)
