God is your strength I used to think that but every time I think about Cain and Abel I can't rationalize the discrepancy . Cain did everything he could for his god but the favor fell on Abel. Why is that? I dont know if Cain did 'everything he could' I do believe that God looks at the heart though. And I believe giving out of obligation is different than giving from the heart, and perhaps that was the discretion. Assuming there's merit to that opinion it still leaves the question about king Saul ,gods anointed king, to be replaced by David, who had Batsheba ' s husband killed but remained gods favorite. This events only proved to me that no matter how much we try , if he don't care for us , there's nothing we can do about it. to me, these are apples and oranges. With Cain and Abel the story tells of one incident in which one brother (at that specific time) was favored and the other not. with David, there is no indication that his choice to have Bethsheeba's husband killed was held with God's favor (at that specific time) But, I guess everyone will perceive things their own way. |

To put it simply. ... Cain's crime was murder and got branded for it. David's crime is coveting his neighbors wife and he got a pat in the back.
Both a violation of God's commandments but different penalties. ... |

God is your strength I used to think that but every time I think about Cain and Abel I can't rationalize the discrepancy . Cain did everything he could for his god but the favor fell on Abel. Why is that? Abel did it to please God. Cain did it because it was a requirement. therefore, when Abel was blessed by God Cain became jealous. the lesson here then is: if you do something willfully to please vs because you have to, then you are making it a chore, not a true offering unto God!! |

So I suppose you gonna tell me Jonah really wanted to be eaten by a whale to show he loves god ?

So I suppose you gonna tell me Jonah really wanted to be eaten by a whale to show he loves god ? why would he have wanted that? and you do know this story was a foretelling of when Yeshua died and 3 days later arose from the dead? i suggest you read the chapter before and of where it speaks about Cain and Abel. you will see Abel's offering was to please God and Cain's was because that was the LAW. it's like being nice to someone because you want a reward or being nice to them because you actually want them to feel better. do you know the difference? because there is one most definitely!! |

There's 4 people in the entire world at the time..adam,eve ,Cain and Abel and the Lord your God commanded offerings?
Jonah's reference counters your assumption that you should love God from the heart and not obligation. Did you think Jonah loved him from the heart or was he not compelled ? Get the difference? |

There's 4 people in the entire world at the time..adam,eve ,Cain and Abel and the Lord your God commanded offerings? Jonah's reference counters your assumption that you should love God from the heart and not obligation. Did you think Jonah loved him from the heart or was he not compelled ? Get the difference? no, after Cain killed Abel he ran away and then married. so this means there was more people on earth. this is how i view this: the Adam and Eve story is specific because from those 2 people it leads directly to Yeshua [Jesus]. but i for one do not believe Adam was the first man and Eve first woman and we all come from that. example: in the Book of Psalms, Jeremiah, Isaiah, 2nd Peter it speaks of people BEFORE Adam and Eve. it speaks of Satan when he was good in heaven as watching over these people. and then it speaks about Satan making himself equal to God and God casting him out of heaven. Genesis chapter 1 verse claims the heavens and earth was completed. the Hebrew word used here means completed with life on it. verse 2 now states God comes upon the face of the deep. there is a theory that when Satan was kicked out of heaven [in Matthew Yeshua said, He saw him fall as lightning], that when he crashed onto the face of the earth it caused a great unnatural disaster which led to a greater flood than Noah [Luciferian Flood][look it up]. i also believe this Luciferian Flood is what we also know as the "ICE AGE." why? because Job [oldest factual Book of the Bible] speaks about living with great herbivores like the mammoth , great dragons, and other beasts that could be interpreted as brontosaurus and brachiosaurus. it was this flood that killed the creation of people before Adam. also, Job is the very oldest book of the Bible and has a reference that God can cause dead things under the sea to become the living. so this could mean God did use evolution before creating Adam. but Cain left his parents and found a wife...this means people existed with Adam and Eve. and why i believe the Adam/Eve story is specific because it leads to Abraham creating 2 nations [Jews and Muslims] and it ultimately leads to Yeshua being here to be crucified. |

Yeah no I can't buy that. But if that's what you believe that's what you believe.

But if you know your scripture, you should know Noah descended from Adam so Adam cannot come after the flood.

Yeah no I can't buy that. But if that's what you believe that's what you believe. it's in the scriptures. David speaks of it and 2 prophets plus the Disciple Peter. j/s but still, Cain got married. that is also scripture. and it says he went to the land of NOD. so this is 2 different lands [Nod and then where Cain/Abel was at]. this is 2 separate lands with 2 clans of people. and these people DID NOT come from Adam/Eve. it's in the Bible. |

But if you know your scripture, you should know Noah descended from Adam so Adam cannot come after the flood. i am speaking of a flood before Adam was ever created. the Adam story is after day 5. the Bible speaks of 4 days before. the very first scripture begins with a completed earth = life in verse 2 this completed earth is called chaos meaning something bad happened to this life and now it is all under water. how does a completed earth go to being under water BEFORE day 6 and Adam being created? |

Yeah we all know Cain married that's the fallacy of that whole creation bit. And I'm not gonna rationalize that and defend it from yet another part of the buybull.

And I'm not gonna rationalize that and defend it from yet another part of the buybull. no need to rationalize it. preachers are getting this wrong with 7 day creation etc. I've spent my entire life under 2 ministers and was forced to read this. even they missed it until i began asking them questions. but like God said, there is so much mystery we won't know until we are with Him!! |

Yeah you can be the pope for all I care but I still can't buy that argument.

Yeah you can be the pope for all I care but I still can't buy that argument. sorry, had to step away and do my farm rounds and, i'm not trying to sell you anything. i am only showing you how the Bible has been incorrectly interpreted by what the scripture factually claim |

I'm thinkin' there's a reason the bible was left for individual interpretation..just follow the goodness in your heart and you will be alright..so sayeth the Tombs..As far as anyone else's interpretation ..if that's what works best for them so be it..but they don't know any more than the next person..it's all speculation and perception that makes your truth.. |

This is well said. Follow the goodness in your heart, and if you do, in my opinion, you will be allowing the Spirit of Truth that Jesus spoke of, to guide you into the truth. "...The Spirit of truth, ...will guide you into all truth." (John 16:13) |
