Have you used kind words with anyone today?
Of course. It's inherent to the social contract of reciprocity that makes civilization possible. They can have such a profound forward effect on the lives of so many
IME ofttimes it doesn't have the effect you want. People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.
The downside is you can't always control how you make people feel. They can take your "kind words" and feel insulted. They can take your insults as "kind words." They can take your "kind words" in ways you didn't intend. They can deliberately manipulate your "kind words" to justify feeling however they really want to. People will never forget how you made them feel, even if they made themselves feel that way and look to make you the scapegoat. People will never forget how you made them feel, even if someone else made them feel that way but it's easier for them to associate you with that feeling. |

nothing is absolute

Hi Ms. Harmony
Nothing is absolute? In what context..? Sometimes nothing lasts forever and for many of us the same nothing can be inspirational/distructive/powerful or not and can make people learn from it over and over again. I do believe in the power of healing words. |
|
|
|
in the sense that nothing will happen the same way in every circumstance
in response to CIRETOMS list of exceptions you always leave me feeling inspired and happy,, thank you |
|
|
|
and thank you also. thank you for you...you have been a blessing to me for a very long time...
|
|
|
|
nothing is absolute I wouldn't be sure about that. |

I've learned that advocating or applying the "kind words" approach is every bit as complicated and subtle as the closely related "do unto others" thingy.
It's best, it's good, it's right, but it's not something for the simple-minded eager beavers of the world to leap in to blindly. |

I am kind by nature, empathetic as it were.
But also literal so the words come bluntly sometimes which may seem at odds. |

Yes I put a smile on good friend of my mind this morning and she laugh at her worst moment.
We all deserve kind words encouragement |

I mean good friend of mine

good for you
one of the people I admire the most is not wealthy or model beautiful or driving a fancy car I admire her because whenever she is around, somehow, I always feel more uplifted when she has left than before she arrived I try to be more like her, leaving people uplifted when I have come around,, and not broken down or drained,,,, she is amazing |

Kind words can have unexpected effects on people.
I've encountered people who tell me i don't know you hut you treated me with kindness. On the flip side I've had trying to be nice result in an unexpected come on from one of the clients at my office. Not a comfortable thing |

I share joys every day in some way, and most often it is received as intended, and more rarely is the exression of gratitude, which is even better.
Today, I showed gratitude to someone in my kind words and yesterday, I expressed an abundance of encouraging words, as well. |

msharmony,
How wonderful that you have such a person in your life, and I imagine this person knows how you feel, too! This is truly an example of illuminating beauty that matters most in someone, in my opinion. ☺ |
