I used to have to go to the corner store to get mom cigarettes. I always grabbed some candy too. One of my favs was Turkish Taffy.



I remember when TV Dinners were new on the scene. They really sucked, lol.



Recently I found some Dream Whip. I thought they stopped making that stuff many years ago.

I remember at 7 years old having to go to the store to get my mom cigarettes. When I paid for them I was allowed to keep the change so I would go outside to the "pop machine" and put in a dime and get a can of 'pop'.
The machine had a can opener on it because the cans had no way to open them without it. I can remember forgetting to open it and throwing my can of pop in the air so it broke open on the sidewalk and hurrying to mouth the erupting fizzy goodness. Always seemed to come home sticky, lol.
