I played a few instruments in the early 80's. Never mastered any of them, life got in the way.
Keyboards Drums Electric Guitar Acoustic Guitar plus I sang a little. Mostly just messin around, never got lessons just by ear I worked on stage crew for a bit straight out of high school. Mostly rock and folk bands. Did work with a local band that played a lot of Johnny Cash - they had great sound. Sadly I never had the money to buy a worthy instrument. My guitars were all hand me downs or flea market jobbies. Lately I have been thinking about picking up an acoustic and trying to get back into it. Haven't yet, but who knows...? |

that reminds me of something Prince once said of course he played just about every instrument and composing was in his blood but he said he didn't really watch the 'competition' shows like the voice or idol, because his mind just naturally would begin to focus on the best way to compose/arrange the music,, instead of on the artist and their 'talent' ,,the way we experience music is so unique to each of us |

The problem is,that when you are a listener, and what you are listening
to is so good, you suddenly want to pick your guitar up and get stuck in, then you realize how far you are away from it, so you end up listening again, well that's what happens with me, just a vicious circle. |

I done it again last night, out of the radio was some fantastic new and old music being played, this got the juices flowing again, so once again I headed of towards my Guitar, determined as ever, started off OK,
then it all suddenly went-what I now call, Psycho Blues,it's not music, but something is going on, maybe I just think that, then I get fed up with myself, and go back to listening. Am I alone in this, surely not |
