I'm new at this so just starting a discussion. At the beginning stage of getting to know someone, do you prefer meeting up, texting, or phone calls? well, you call first, then meet up. then sit at the table texting each other. Or other people if the text conversation is boring. Or you text a friend to call you so you can fake a emergency and get the hell out of there ... of course pay the bill first... you can't be a total slug Love this, haha. You two got it going on! Maybe you should meet? |

For me it mostly has been exchanging messages on site, then meeting up. Best is to not spend weeks exchanging messages. Sometimes you appear to have a click, while in RL there's nothing there. THen you wasted all that time...
And it's good to hear someone's voice first, esp if you live quite far apart --> It's awkward to have someone drive for a few hours, and then find out his voice is so weird you can barely stand to listen to it for 10 minutes. As for meeting halfway, nope. For a first date I only drive to the nearest town, in other words: to the restaurant where we're going to meet. |
