So many years believing I could save the world and everyone around me
The life they were living is just not the way it should be
No matter how hard I tried to save them all
They continued to stumble and fall
When I thought things were going right
That call would come in the middle of the night
Another bad choice they chose to make
As a mother just another heart break
I still worry every moment of the day
In hopes they will turn thier lives around and be okay
But the years have passed me by
I don't know how many tears are left to cry
So now as I look at myself in the mirror
I know I have to let go of the hurt and fear
Too many years of hiding in pain
Nothing to lose but everything to gain
The time has come finally for me
To live life how it is meant to be
I'm not even sure where to start
But if you take the time to look at my heart
With some patience and understanding you will see
That what I have to give will last for all eternity
