As they say 'you must choose the one who loves you not the one you love' is that true??

I don't know if it's true but it sounds like settling for anyone who shows interest. I don't know of anyone in their right mind who'd want that.
I wouldn't be with someone I don't love and wouldn't want to be with someone who doesn't love me.

Not really. In my opinion you can choose who you want. Alto of times love and lust are confused these days...

Who in this world suggested that a relationship shouldn't be one sided... And... How can you build a solid relationship if only one feel love?

No... There must be a sense of connection, an attachment or reciprocity. It must be mutual. Otherwise, it is just an unrequited love.

Exactly the same scenario if you love them, but they don't love you.
What's the point of being in a relationship with someone who doesn't love you, doesn't long to be with you, doesn't desire you?
Someone should be happy to be with you, happy to please you, and feel better him/herself because of the relationship.
In order to feel that way, you need to love one another.
