“How Love Feels”

To want is to need.
It is nothing one would mislead.
It is something we all seek.
Once we have it is unique.
Even though it’s something you can not see.
And to have it there is no guarantee.
How long it will stay.
No one knows how long before it will just go away.
So why is it that we all have this need?
It is not out of greed.
Even though it is something we need so much.
Just to have one that can give us that touch.
That makes those feelings come from deep within.
That will start the embers of the fires and will begin.
A yearning for another that we all seek.
From the one that has that special technique.
That touches our soul to the core.
And can make our love soar.
Even above the sky beyond the stars and the moon.
Even higher than you can go in a hot air balloon.
Even though it is something we can not see.
We all know how it can make you feel free.
As if you’re walking on air.
Just to have someone that you know does care.
It will make you float.
Even without a boat.
You will sail through the air.
No longer are you aware.
As if life has stood still.
Life has become a thrill.
This is what love is.
Or what love does.
To those that are lucky enough to find.
And at times go against the wind.
Even if it is something you can not see.
It will make you feel free.
