Hey everyone!! This is my first poem post so please keep the bad criticism to a minimal!! I plan on posting alot more but this is my mood for now so please enjoy and tell me what you think!!

"sad tragedy"

its a sad sad tragedy
a sad tragedy instilled upon me.
what will it take to be set free?
when will the water be waist deep?
every night is another endless war,
a war to sleep like i did before,
before the day that my walls crumbled,
falling down the mountain into a pile of rumble.

as i lay here on my pillow tonight
i pray to myself that there wont be a fight.
a fight to keep my mind asleep
but i know in my dreams you'll creep
and when that time comes i awake
and what an awful cry i make.

I ask myself when will this all end
when will i be myself again?
even on days when im at my best,
when night comes I cannot rest.
I miss the days of my peaceful slumber,
when i could stay sleep without a wonder.

every night is always the same thing
i wonder what my dreams will bring?
but i know the answer deep inside
it will be dreams of you and memories i cannot hide.
memories that haunt my mind day by day
memories that my make my tears run down
memories that turns my happiness into a frown.

and again i find myself here tonight
contemplating to stay awake or to sleep
it hurts to stay awake and think about you all night,
at the same time, i know staying asleep will be a fight.
indeed its a hard decision to make
when even my happiest of dreams are all fake.
