I started out using this as a dating site.

But--No Dates!

Now, if I meet someone to date, that's fine. But I really am here now to see all my friends in the forums. So I guess it is a community for me.

I do know this, once people get into the forums, and they see how much they can learn about people, the more they are at ease talking to them.

When I first started on the computer this year...
I wanted to chat online and make friend's.
I found this site by accident- actually.
I love the community here- have made a lot of friend's here.
Would not mind a date though...

Mmmm dating or community? I'd say a little bit of both. Because a lot of the ladies here have been hurt in previous ralationships. So i would have to start off as being friends with the ladies first then after corresponding with them they will see that I am not an SOB like thier preivious ralationships. Then after there might be a romantic involvment. One type of relationship i am NOT looking for is the bootycall type. I love the ladies too much to do that to them.

A community of family and friends..........and maybe I will meet who I am meant to be with.........a lot of my friends have done just that...........and still come here for the friendship

I have no idea what's going on.

I've never had a date from on here, but I have met some of the greatest people on here!

If some of the guys lived closer to me, I would have proposed to them by now!

I hope to find local men to date, or just hangout. But also enjoy reading and sometimes commenting in the various forums. I just started about two weeks ago, so who knows what the future brings to me. Best of luck which ever way you go.

I think sometimes it is easier to be genuine with an "acquaintance" than with some "so called" friends...at least initially.
There seems to be less to lose...with a (potentially) huge upside. True friends. I can see there is genuine love and caring for each other, here. the last several times I have logged in....I haven't even looked at my matches. I check out some good threads.
