Sorry threads are gender-neutral kind of like Target's bathrooms

My ideal first date?

Amusement Park. Learn a lot about peoples personalities that way!

Nice of you to ask!

I think it depends on how well you know the person. If it's someone that you kinda know, then a date where you can spend a good amount of time just talking is good, somewhere not too loud. Isaac's Amusement Park suggestion is a good one, or to a festival, lunch or dinner and a walk around the area, etc.

If it's someone you don't really know, I say make sure the gal feels comfortable with you. It can be rather nerve wracking going out with new people, so make sure you read her cues and make her want to go out with you again.

Good luck! :)

A meal and a walk or hike while getting to know them.

Never understood the movie thing, why take someone someplace and then sit in the dark and ignore them?

I like to meet in the morning, have coffee and maybe a breakfast on a Saturday, that way if there's good chemistry we can plan the rest of the day.

Take her on a plane, & at 10,000ft, both of you jump out with 1 chute & hope not to crash on a mountain top laugh
It's a date she might remember for the rest of her life laughlaugh

First date, as in the first one AFTER meet & greet?
No ideal scenario. Depends on the vibe and what both like. But something active is good, so you learn to know each other a bit better, with enough quieter moments in between to keep the feeling of intimacy and romance going.

If it's a meet & greet ... same thing.
Get together over coffees in a place that allows you too talk --> not too busy and no loud music.
Typically 1/2 hr - 1,5 hr only so no big plans. If it clicks you can do something more active, like nose around in town, shopping mall (great way to find out more of what they like!), that sort of thing. But never too long.

Coffee in a mall or something like that so you can take a walk and talk after getting the coffee maybe do a little window shopping. You can learn a lot about someone by things they choose to look at while window shopping. Also gives you a chance to think ahead if you feel that "spark" with someone.smokin

Showing up with a dozen yellow roses in hand, cause yellow roses mean new beginnings and friendship. flowers Then going for a long drive in the country on a gorgeous summer day, chatting the entire time and see if we can't get lost. Hopefully stopping at a quaint little country inn for a bite to eat, and then getting directions to get back home cause knowing me we would probably get lost. happy

beach is always an ideal first date venue for me,really...
I simply love rhe nature's touch ambiance with some Astrud Gilberto sounds in the background.
a bottle of read wine..a stem of white rose (cream abundance)variety of berry fruits...

and good conversation follows.
am a situational and realist talker.
and I won't mind really talking about your greatest fears and failures in life.

I appreciate 'from the heart' conversation's best.

I would want to take him home and just relax and watch a movie and get to know each other first and then figure out if tha next step is going to happen.
