I personally don't think a GOP will be in power in 2008 so it's between Obama or Hillary.

I haven't voted since I tried to cancel my dad's vote for Nixon in '74. devil bigsmile

In '87 i couldn't in clear conscience ever vote again, but in an emtional moment found myself liking Bill Clinton's pragmatism. Still wouldn't vote though.

I got a King and trust His judgement and accept the US as a rented home until I'm invited to leave. laugh laugh laugh

Rudy Guliani is probably the best person to sit in the Executive Chair this time around. His abilities as a leader are proven, and he finds consensus where even the most voracious have no success. His cabinet will be extremely scrutinized, but deals will be made to get on with the tasks of running the country like a business.

He can pull it off if he waits for the others to tarnish themselves at the primaries.

I would like to see John McCain as VP.

He would make a great tie breaker if Congress goes 50-50.

We get out of Iraq and won't look weak.

The economy will tick along, and maybe even become more productive for Americans.

But it's an uphill battle for a man like Rudy.

He'll need support from the Conspirators that the Clintons think are after them.laugh laugh laugh

smokin drinker bigsmile

Guilani?

I think I'll take the advice of posters here who lived in NY during his time as mayor.

In other words, NO, THANKSnoway .

That's why I'm against Fred Thompson. I live in the state that he "represented" as a Senator. Errr....when they actually could drag his lazy carcass to a Senate meeting.

Like I said before, I'll vote for Edwards. He's nothing special, merely the best of a bad lot.

Quite frankly looking at all the candidates, if this is the best that America has to offer, we are really screwed. It is apalling when we have to choose who we think will do the least amount of harm rather than the greatest amount of good.

I once heard someone expound on a philosophy that was called a "randomocoracy" that is where a computer picked all the senators, representatives and all other elected officials at random. They served one term and then were inelligable to ever hold office again. At the time it sounded completely absurd, but with the current choices we have it is beginning to look better all the time. Hummm now if they would just let me program that computer laugh

So far, Obama is the only one with REAL solutions that do nto favor the rich and privliged, but that is just my opinion, so he's getting my vote. Its time for Big Business and those who have been getting unfair tax advantages to pay their share instead of the working poor! Again my opinion only.

Fistyredhead

it might interest you to know that the richest 1% of the people in the United States 37% of the total income tax collected and the richest 5% of the people in the United States pay a total of 52% of the total income tax collected. The myth that the rich pay no taxes is spread by the Socialist Democratic party to win votes. If you are going to vote for someone based on the issues, get the facts and don't rely on political propaganda.

You know, it's great to make jokes on here. And some of them sure are funny. But I'm getting the impression that nobody knows anything about any of the candidates. That nobody cares who gets elected. Well it's this colossally ignorant attitude that has got us into the situation we're in.

About 1/2 the population elects the president. Considerably lees than that on average elect our other state and federal representatives. Is this any way to choose people who make decisions that affect all of our lives on an almost daily basis?

Stop taking the easy way out by saying that "they're all crooks" or "they all suck". Make an effort to actually learn something about the candidates and about the process of electing them. Then and only then will the voice of the pepole be heard and we will be on our way to improving this great country that we are fortunate enough to live in.
