Quote ... "It doesn't matter if 1 person dies or 1000 it's still lives that meant something and still will, the same reason so many men and women raise their hands and agree to defend this country."
Firstly ... of course it matters is one or 1000 die. Their lives are important. But they mean nothing because they are dying for nothing FFS!!! Your country is no where near Afghanistan or Iraq! My friggin country is in the way of your precious homeland being bombed. You are not defending the country, you are policing the rape and pillage of the oil that your country needs to maintain its military might. ... and a whole heap of you are too blind to see it. |

I thought B8tant meant we would be lucky to recognize them to refer to the inevitible changes in their personalities as a result of being in war... although of course there might be physical changes as well.
But laughing at death is also a defense mechanism friend.... to laugh to stop from crying... Any death is too many and it dishonors and belittles our soldiers to ignore their sacrifices. Peace. |

Plenty of Americans, in fact the vast majority according to recent polls, are opposed to the war...
http://www.pollingreport.com/iraq.htm and hopefully even those who support the war in theory are saddened by the death and damage to these young men. |
