R. Lee Eremy owned all in this movie. I mean, so many funny quotes from his character. I watch it just for when they are in boot camp.

R lee ermy also played the DI in the bys of company c i do blelieve. Wasn't he a real marine DI during the vietnam era
yes he was a real DI. he was brought in for a consultant or something like that and then Stanley Kubrick hired R. Lee Ermey. and to make it look more real he did not hang out with the other cast members and he just kept to him self.

"A jelly donut! Are you allowed to eat jelly donuts Private Pyle?"
R Lee Ermey should have a gold statue sitting on his shelf. All of the movies that have been mentioned are great but let's not forget Apocalypse Now. I was about 16 when I saw that and I came out of the theater in semi-shock. The giant screen and the sound blew me away. The magnitude of the movie didn't help either. A woman sitting in front of us was hugging her husband through the whole movie because he couldn't stop crying. Real firsthand stuff. |

Yeah if you've never seen it then watch the whole thing but if you have,it's a good bet you only watch Boot Camp from then on...Personally I wait till after Joker is with the writers and he says "Does this mean no Ann-Margeret?" Then I turn it off..

Full Metal Jacket I can watch the first part over and over and over again. Pyle, you had best unf*ck yourself and start shi*ting me Tiffany cufflinks or I will definitely f*ck you up! ! i like the part "do you suck d***s?are you a Peter Puffer?" "i'll bet you could suck a golf ball through a garden hose!" "you're probably the type that would f*** a guy in the a** and not even have the god d*** common courtesy to give him a reach around!" "Texas?Only steers and queers come from Texas, you don't look like no steer so what does that make you Cowboy?" "how tall are you private?" "5'9 Sir" "5'9?,i didn't know they stacked s*** that high!" |
