Depends what you're looking for. U.S. has it all.

Northern California, Oregon coast, pretty chill and lots of natural beauty.

Can't really beat the West for beauty, mountains, desert, coastline.
As far as safe, common sense rules. Large cities, New York, Chicago, L.A. have all the night life you're ever gonna want but also have the usual big city crime. Small towns party, but don't act like an azz or you're likely to get your azz beat.

Well the Oregon Coast line and northern Cali has a lot of natural beauty. Is there wildplaces of course do you have to act on it nope not a bit.

It also has the balance of things to do and when you want solitude it is there also.

Depends on your budget really, and what you're looking for...

If its natural beauty Washington coast, oregon coast, California (I'd recommend southern if you want to go beaching),

If you want to chill, but drink at night Pacific beach Cali,

if you're looking for a party all night Bew York

if you want super friendly people, sports bars, etc Indianapolis is nice as well....

Mmmm San Francisco, California is where I might fly
into an international airport.

It has everything..cable cars, museums, postcard views,
bridges, ferries, sailing, nightlife (SOO many clubs you
can walk to) parks, Pier 39, the wharf, the seals, it is breathtaking :-)

San Francisco is hyper expensive, average cocktail now is $12-15, while cover charge anywhere from 20-50...average hotel is $180nt...on the cheaper end. ...that's why I mentioned budget...

If you're into music there are a number of large music festivals, Austin Texas has one, not sure when it is, SXSW south by southwest I think it's called. Supposed to be a pretty good party. We have one here in Milwaukee, Summerfest, towards the end of June, lots of pretty good acts, some big names. Mostly for the younger crowd.

if you plan on spending a whole month I'd r recommend moving around a bit, the amtrak train goes from Southern Cali, all the way up the coast to northern Washington, you could see san diego(Pacific beaxh, ocean beach (about 20miles from each other), long beach (los angles) San Francisco (If it's only a few nights not that big of a hit on budget), Portland, and Seattle, and if you have left over time Eastern Washington is beautiful (and a lot cheaper then Seattle)...However you'd need a car to get there...the train ride itself is gorgeous, and last time I did it, it was about $120...but that was a few years ago

Figure sixty or a hundred bucks or more for a room per night, depending on what you're comfortable with, location and time of year. For a month that's close to three grand right there. A good meal is gonna cost ya fifteen to twenty plus tip at a decent working class diner. Even if you eat at McDs or other fast food type places, and I wouldn't recommend that, it's gonna be eight to ten bucks depending on your appetite. Unless your thinking on camping out. Then you'd need to rent a car. Twenty dollars or so a day depending on the car and what kind of deal you get for long term rental. You may want to check out renting a small motor home. And there's things like Airbnb or finding a good friend on the internet that'll rent ya a room. Lots of possibilities.

Oh, and beer three to four dollars a bottle and up, cocktails six and up depending on the place.
