Sadly you hold on to societies conformity rules. Um no...it's what I've actually witnessed for the past 30 or so years working in a field that allowed me to see firsthand exactly what hard drugs do to not only the users, but their loved ones as well.
As for the rest of your post...its a pipe dream. The point is this...why should you or anyone else tell me how to live the one life I have? This goes beyond just drugs. Society now wants to tell me what saturated foods I can or can't eat at a restaurant. How big of a coke I can buy. If it were up to the Mormons, alcohol, tobacco and weed would all put you in jail. If I can afford it and want to live the rest of my life living in a haze of drug induced euphoria, what business is it of yours? What gives you or anyone else the right to say how someone else should live their life? Obviously the "The War on drugs" has been waging for decades costing us billions of dollars a year and where has it gotten us? To each their own I say

I honestly get your main point....I just don't think methheads need to be running around all willy nilly lol I agree Rebel...but I also think when you legalize something it becomes less "desirable" to younger,impressionable kids. Young kids are often coerced into trying drugs because they are "taboo" and they want to be cool trying something they are not suppose to do. With legalization and good anti-drug education hopefully it will keep a lot of kids from trying it in the first place. Some feel the opposite may be true...but what we are doing now isn't working. |

Sad that these people had to die...but looking at the ages...several were under twenty one...as we know..the weed operation was the families "secret "...but young people talk to their friends and sometimes trust them enough to show off..loose lips sink ships..and in most cases like this..it's someone they knew... I am willing to bet that this was done by three to four kids under twenty five..they probably just saw dollar signs...sad story though..

It is not just this article. * I checked many on this case * I am seeing more & more.. Everywhere! And more & more often it is a matter of read between the lines. And asking ourselves, ' What is said & not said? And why?' So the translation is.... This crime family named Rhoden ; is more or less a drug syndicate. And rivels are probably trying to take them all out. Or are they ? Who are they working for? I found nothing on what else, was at the scene .. Weapons on the property?.. Other drugs? Pornography? Literature? Nothing on the crimes of these guys (brothers/cousins?) Being portrayed as innocent victims. Why? Even the articles can't agree on the number of investigators; 30 to 100? Achhh...!.. 
And yes, more & more Sheriffs are telling people to arm themselves. There was more then drugs going on there and from what I have read, Federal Authorities are getting involved. I love how the Attorney General stopped short about commenting on the family but the Sheriff said they were a good family. I hate to say it, but maybe he was being paid to look the other way or a part of the operation. |

This family had an extensive pot growing operation on 4 of the properties they lived on. This is no excuse to execute anyone but if you deal with unscrupulous people, you never know what to expect. Actually she was 19. That just proves my point, she was not likely involved and got hit because she was a witness or able to I'd the shooters. |

Right now the police are kind of looking at this like a public service crime, if a kid or a Law Enforcement Officer gets shot they quadruple the resources that go into the investigation.
