Simply because most zodiac horoscopes are kinda vague and general and say relatively nice and pointless things about people, which people can then read importance into and think "omg! This is sooo me!" even though it's just confirmation bias.

To the Chinese, the Chinese Zodiac is the normal Zodiac.

I like to work with both Western and Chinese. But I'm more familiar with the ins and outs of Western astrology.

As I see it, there's nothing to believe. It's to do with energies, frequencies of different planets, that influence us. If you get a full horoscope done by a good astrologer, you'll find that it is 100% spot on, and will reveal things you didn't even realize about yourself.

Relationship horoscopes can be wonderful things too. But you shouldn't get the computer generated ones. They'll have the facts right (planets, conjuncts etc.) but they cannot give a decent interpretation of it all. Meaning you get a small magazine with stuff that means nothing to you.

I had horoscopes done for my kids when they were babies still, and of course you can't say anything about it then, as they're only babies. So I had to wait for them to get older.
But dang! Spot on!

Jkd! Well being part chinese, I'm used to the zodiac sings. I was born year of the rabbit. The other zodiac is a bit vague and not so acurate.
My view on it is that the seasons and the times are attached the a person's physical birth. Some belive your sign starts 9 months before. So the Creator hand is definitely in this kaos!

Not really. I think of them as a combination of just-for-fun stuff, with a recognition that both are the result of serious efforts to get a handle on our lives.

I respect the intention behind them, even as I think they both missed the mark.
