But yes, you have a right to ask whatever you like. However, you do not have a right to either get an answer, nor should you anticipate a polite response.

Here's a simple exercise for all such questions:

Think about what it really means to be EQUAL. No really. Think about it from both sides. In this case, think about the right to knowledge, and compare it to the equal right to privacy.

Keep thinking until you realize that they cancel each other out perfectly, due to equality.

If I was on a first date with a man and he asked me about all my sexual relationships? I would not answer and there is no second date.

I would find it rude and intrusive and presumptious to dig into someones sexual history on the first date

once there is time to know and agree the relationship is going to move to that level,,,is a much better time to have those discussions

Unless that answer is said with a charming giggle, I would think it sounded quite creepy and clingy on a first date

better to ask something like

how many times they have been married

or do they have children

or are you just getting out of a relationship

sure!! go ahead ask that on a first date...do not be surprised when she cracks ur skull or u never see or hear from her again...why don't u ask why her butts so big or if she has a younger hotter sister while ur at it...she'll love it!!
