Umm I wouldn't say she blew me off necessarily and she actually responded to my im i did not email her. I said hi and whats up and then like 2 minutes later she said sorry i have to go and i said good night. We didn't really have a real conversation.

Perhaps next time you could email someone first so they have an opportunity to find out who you are, and let that person know you would like to IM in future. --
