Topic: Life 's Mysteries Ancient Poets | |
---|---|
I have been convinced that life's mysteries have been answered by ancient poets. (Mostly reading Rumi lately)...but you get the idea...Gibran, Shakespeare,EVEN Byron, Twain, Thorough, etc....not that ancient but poignant.
Quote threads have been done....AND DONE! Let's just say 19th century and before.......How do older quotes still hold true? |

My 2 cents... Time rolls on but humans nature hardly changes. We still philosophize, crave understanding of our globe and have the same need for belonging, love and family.
Although our personalities are all different, our needs are pretty much the same. I shall die happy knowing I lived, loved, questioned everything and never settled for less than the real :) |

I'm glad you mentioned Twain in the same sentence as the other greats.
I really didn't know much about him until a few weks ago when I was flicking through the TV channels and watched a documentary about him. I didn't even know that Twain was not his real name but one he made up. He was some guy, to say the least. A crazy diamond you could say, with a heart. |

Observe the wonders as they occur around you. Don’t claim them. Feel the artistry moving through, and be silent. – Rumi
