I think if a thread falls outside the set rules for posting even if it is just a word that alerts some attention, it will fall into the moderation category. They are not bad posts, just how they are worded, the nature and intention, blah...no biggie

Is anyone keeping track of the really bizarre 'votes to delete', and asking Mike/Van to retract the voting rights of whoever voted to delete them?

I've notice at this time of night a lot of them will have three delete votes, and then no further voting for a while. Makes me wonder if its the same three people....

well i have asked about removing the moderation ability

of abusers and told that they monitor it automaticly ??????

and some will lose them eventually

but i have actually e-mailed links of blatant delete abuse

and was told to vote to keep it

and it was only a nomination to delete don't worry about it

i know it has cost a few members

but hey who cares

is how i see the attitude about it

Well I can see where they are coming from of both counts - not getting too upset about mere nominations, and using a efficient automated method to track abuses.

My main question is - does this abuse tracking method also track potential abusers when the final vote is sensible, or only when the final vote is wrong?

And I wonder if three specific people are delete happy at night, or if its just coincidence.

Certain headings and intentions locked in the prog automatically goes to the moderation section. Some, positive comments takes them off the list straightaway

My understanding is that ALL topic go to moderation for a short time - nothing to do with headings "locked into the prog".

If no one nominates them for deletion, they automatically drop off the list after a period of time.

I agree with you that making comments in the thread gets them off the list faster, because comments may help the indecisive (like me) to decide how to vote.

Not all because I have reply to some and they are not on the "moderate" section like the thread "So" that I just commented on

all threads are supposed to go to moderation

if no one votes to delete they move out afte 10-13 views

making comments in the thread has no bearing on the deletion or save time

the only effect once a thread in nominated for deletion

is to pick do not delete to save it takes 4 votes

or delete to delete it takes 7 votes

but i do find it silly that a thread has multiple pages of comments and still be up for moderation

but they want it deleted
cause they say it is copyrighted...

Just because you didn't see it go through moderation doesn't mean it didn't happen.

If no one nominates it, then only a handful of people will see it during its moderation period.

It seems to me that Adj and I are offering observations based on actual convos with the site owners.
