I mentioned starting a topic on this in another post so here it goes. Why do some people on this site have pictures on their profile but none with them in it. I understand if your main one doesn't have you but you are in at least one of your other pics on your profile. I also understand if you just don't have any pic cause you might not have a camera or w/e, but what is the point of just having other pics but none of you. I just don't get it.

Most of us do have pic's but we change them up, for the feel of the mood, occassion, whatever, some don't due to the reason you mentioned.

To me it seems that if you have pictures but none of you then you are somehow insecure about what you look like, and I don't think that is something you should have to worry about. We all have are insecurities and we need to face them. I think we all know or have met at least one person who was insecure about how they looked and yet they were attractive.

I agree with bgeorge. Love has to do with chemistry aswell and on line a picture is the only way to tell.

I have pics I just recently changed mine to my heart because I was feeling sad and just didn't want to have my pic on the posting. But ya I like looking at profiles that have pics as well as the ones that dont but my interest will always go to the ones that have a pic.

I like seeing a face or person when I read post it just seems to make everything more real...

many are on here for different reasons , not only "love", i have noticed that alot of people just look at the pic , and forget to read the profiles to see what they are only seeking ,

I rather see somoene have some kind of pic than just a blue square box..

yeah those small blue boxes all look the same....

It could be many things!!!

Maybe they don't feel they fall into the standardized superfical standard of attactive!

Maybe their wish is NOT to be desired for their looks but rather their inner self. And hope to attact a like mind.

maybe they're married or otherwise attached and don't want a photo posted as positive proof they are up to NO GOOD.

If it is an issue for you, then find a profile with a pic and take it from there...but always remember...THAT MAY ALSO NOT BE "THEIR PHOTO"...Just a thought or two.

theres probably a million different reasons for a million people that don't have a picture. Its better to have one of yourself though.

And maybe some use an avatar so that you will go and take the trouble to look at the profile in order to place a face to a post.









Though that doesn't necessarily mean that you'll bother reading it .

actually i like not having a pic because then i get to see how people speculate over whats not there am i really interested in dating..dont know .. people say well if you dont post a pic how will you get a date..well how many people have posted a pic and never gotten a date i watch people say ..you must be ugly,you must be insecure ,a scammer,a bot you see i learn alot from not posting a pic alot more than some may realize..i will post a pic when i want to no more nor less..which still draws back to the question..how do you know who youre looking at is really the person youre talking to...YOU DONT..but then you still got to get to know the person..pretty is as pretty does...most of the time all you see is a face anyways or some people take better pictures than others..its all pretty much left to chance
