So I gotta write this fast
Get it all down before its past
Don't want to forget even a second
Gotta get it down before it fades from recollection
Before the memories fade into dust
Before I forget that moment of lust
Ahh I know what your thinking
Another piece of lustful dreaming
How wrong you are this time
I'm talking about the lust for rhyme
The syncopated rhythm as it pounds
Just popping from every sound
Everything I hear
As it streams through my ear
Everything I see
As it flashes before me
Has a rhythm and it pushes my head
Around the words that fit it until its dead
So I have to write this fast
Because damn time just doesn't last....
