What do you do when you and your girl love each other but her parents don't agree with the relationship? Feeling helpless

Humm if you was under 18 or not out of school and they are supporting you, then they would have a say so.
But sorry once you make your own living with no support of others, no one has the right to tell you how to live your life.. You do what you want and tell the others to deal with it or distant yourself from them. Family/Friends do not tell others how to live their lives and they learn to be civil if there is others around for special occasions. And they let you fall on your own if you make the wrong choice.. But yet there for you after... |

Depending on your situation... I would have a sit down, try to hash it out.

What do you do when you and your girl love each other but her parents don't agree with the relationship? Feeling helpless [/quote attraction is not a choice, not a conscious one anyway....DO HER PARENTS LOVE HER? HAVE YOU NOTICE THINGS GOING ON IN OTHERS RELATIONSHIPS THAT THEY DID NOT SEE ??? ITS IMPOSIBLE TO SEE OUR POO AS OTHERS DO.....PEOPLE PICK A MATE TO HELP RECYCLE THERE FAVORITE FEELINGS LIKE MADD, SADD,GLADD,AND SCARED AND TO VALIDATE OLD BELIEFS ABOUT THEM SELVES AND OTHERS...I HOPE THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE ME SPEAK UP AND LET ME KNOW WHEN I AM ABOUT TO DO SOMETHING THAT WILL BE UNPLEASANT FOR ME.....THERE ARE ONLY FOUR KINDS OF PEOPLE ( LIFE POSITIONS ) 1-I'M O.K. YOUR NOT O.K.--- 2-YOUR O.K. I'M NOT O.K.--- 3-I'M NOT O.K. YOUR NOT O.K.---4 -I'M O.K. YOUR O.K.--- SO WE PICK MATES THAT FIT THAT POSITION BECAUSE THATS OUR AWARENESS ..... GOOD LUCK... |

What do you do when you and your girl love each other but her parents don't agree with the relationship?
Depends on what kind of person I am. If it was me, who I am right at this moment, then I would try to understand why her parents don't agree with the relationship rather than just freak out emotionally. But I don't know the parents or the situation. For all I know I'm a 40 year old guy dating a 15 year old, and her parents have a problem with it. For all I know her parents set her up in an arranged marriage that brings something to the family and I'm just an average schmoe. For all I know her parents are simply controlling and overprotective and wouldn't agree with any relationship until they're senile or their daughter is 50. For all I know her parents only hear all the bad things about me when my "girl" complains to them because she's manipulative that way, always seeking attention and pity. For all I know her parents don't have a problem with me, only my "girl" doesn't want to really be with me anymore, and she's trying to push responsibility for the inevitable breakup on them. For all I know her parents just shelled out $100k for school which my "girl" begged and pleaded and planned and worked for, but it's harder than she thought, more stressful than she thought, so she went out and got a boyfriend, me, to help relieve stress, and is using me to avoid applying myself to school, avoiding the stress, and I'm enabling that, which makes her parents mad. For all I know a million other situations. What I do is try to see it from the perspective of the parents, the "girl," my own, and try to filter out the bs emotional rationalizing. For all I know this isn't really "love" simply infatuation, and it's really in no ones best interest, other than my own emotional gratification, to continue. I could be wrong, the parents could be right, the girl could be stupid. I don't know. I'd want to. |

What do you do when you and your girl love each other but her parents don't agree with the relationship? Feeling helpless Well, IF you're a real Romeo, and If you love her, then you care nothing for anyone elses opinion.....you just love her more and take the consequences. Failure to do so will mean you have to make the famous ''I coulda bin a contender!' speech one day |
