I noticed that. I had gotten a few emails from men in my area. I emailed them. They emailed back and then poof they are gone. I wonder if they just got scared or got caught, wihich do you think it is?

I think online meeting has become ultra judgmental. If someone likes you at first and then after emailing or phoning finds some small thing off from their point of view, Poof - gone; off to meet someone else. That small thing might night even have any merit, just a feeling; so superficial. Dating is dying. When was the last time you were picked up at home and taken out, or vice versa for guys??? If you can't find someone where you live, you won't make a relationship happen long distance.

probably better for you that those didn't hang around. I would consider the ones that yank ya chain then bail when they think they have you're attention, are probably players. Actions speak louder than words....

you would think that he/she would be glad to have found someone interested in them. well that may be, but then the reality of im really doing this hits home and fear of dissapointment sets in . and we never realize that they might have been the one for me. seems some of us have been in search of a love one along time . and like a turtle stick our head out and take a look and we drag it back at sight of something different.
