I think this was posted before...

WRITTEN BY A 15 yr. Old SCHOOL KID IN ARIZONA :

New Pledge of Allegiance (TOTALLY AWESOME) !

Since the Pledge of Allegiance
And
The Lord's Prayer
Are not allowed in most
Public schools anymore
Because the word 'God' is mentioned....
A kid in Arizona wrote the attached

NEW School prayer :
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.

If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks..
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong.

We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.

It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen

If you aren't ashamed to do this,
Please pass this on.
Jesus said,
'If you are ashamed of me,
I will be ashamed of you before my Father.'

because of the laws you can say that anywhere you want and its ok. why is it then bad to say God around someone that doesn't believe in him? isn't it all freedom of speech?

He did a very good job and it makes alot of sense. If we can't even say the word God when we say the pledge what is the government gonna take away next.

flowerforyou Hi Don, good to see you again...

It's all about freedom of speech!

Even if I say Blessed be! I still know that there are many beliefs & we have that right to believe in what ever we like & not be condemned for it.
Our Kids should have a bases for their learning...

It had nothing to do with preaching the bible when we were in school, Why is it that people have to get all picky about it & twist our kids minds up so then they don't know what to believe or think it's ok! To follow some of the sick cults that they don't know the whole story behind.

your right, it is pledging allegance to our country and not religion. it says one nation under God, not we pldege allegance to religion, or to God.

The poem is actually a gross distortion of what the laws actually say and allow for.

The laws are protecting everyone from having their public-paid institutions used for any religious agenda.

It's a good law. It protects everyone, even those who are crying “foul” because they can’t abuse public-funded facilities anymore. The law doesn't single anyone out. It just appears that way to those who used to abuse public facilities in the past and had to stop doing that now.

abra... the tide of change came when the multitudes of immigrants arrived in droves to North America not so long ago.. thus creating a multi-cultural enviornment that wasn't necessarily evident before.. but as opposed to adapting to the already existing 'ethics/morals' of the already present society.. we have had to change OUR culture to adapt to THEM.. in my opinion.. I find that a lil arrogant of the 'new arrivals' ohwell
