Today, personally I have opened doors for 5 women

1 with a stroller

1 was pregnent

2 were elderly

1 was in a wheel chair

just another day of ..passing it along...

I open doors for almost anyone. I get a brain cramp once in a while, and forget. Senility setting in.

I try to hold the door opened for the guys at my job, I tell them I want to be the gentleman for a change.... They always tell me, I won't be too convincing!!

You have to go where the good guys hang out! I have had a good success meeting great guys at Car shows, but better at Car Clubs. I belong to 2 Corvette Clubs (don't own a corvette, either). Also the "free" car gatherings. Here in So CA it's Flames@ Corbin & Plummer in the SF Valley on Friday nights between 5- 830 PM. Rods/Classic cars/motorcycles.
Another "free" one is coming up this Sunday (early 7 AM) and each Sunday of the month at Village Coffee Roasters parking lot.Valley Circle, south of Ventura Fwy. 500+ Classic cars (and their guys). This Sunday AM is Euro Sunday- Ferraris, Lambos, etc.

And it's FUN!I usually go the 4th Sunday and bring my old Mercedes (guy magnet).
But I am going to a car show this Sunday to benefit a couple children's charities at Elysian Park (near Dodger Stadium- at the Police Academy). Halloween themed car show.

Go where the guys gather. They won't come to you. And- it's NOT a bar scene. Try it.

I still do all those things and see the shocked look when I don’t just open the door but if a woman is near or coming to the door I wait holding it open. Some of the issue is some women ok maybe the ones I have dated seem to think it is a sign of the man being in control I try to explain no it is respect for women so I don’t know. Guess I could say the same where have all the good Gal's gone the ones who want a partnership not a baby sitter for their kids or someone to boss around. However, after posts like this I know there are some out there.
