Serious answer; unless it is really top quality silk and probably hand tailored camisole gown it is more likely never going to get out of the box. Most that does usually ended up on the floor by the bed unneeded. More often than not I usually prefer nothing between me and my man. If he needs a "costume" to get his motor running then the romance is circling the drain.

Personally I am not all that keen on lingerie. A bit here and there, no problem. But I take more pleasure in sexy outfits, like a very short skirt, sexy top or off the shoulder blouse that allow you to play with it, stockings/holdups etc ... the kind of stuff you could do a chair dance in or a lap dance. Outfits that take a bit of imagination and fantasy to put together.
So far I can say that the effect on men is far greater than normal lingerie

If I was to buy something, I'd love to get some burlesque stuff. I just that style!

As for men ... NO briefs or strings ... The only thing that's worse than a man in a briefs is a man in a string.

I have no personal experience, but a friend of mine once told me that the way he shops for lingerie for his wife was simple. He takes it off the hanger and drops it on the floor to see how it looks. When I asked him why he replied "That's where it's going to end up after a minute or two anyway."
