I don't know that its taboo for a woman to date a younger man -
How much is younger? It has been said to be acceptable? to divide your age in 1/2 and add 7 or 8.. anything younger may be considered in bad taste.
So, I am 60,..I would NOT be comfortable dating someone 37 or 38..but I would be comfortable dating someone 50 and older, yet I find someone 70 too old..
Good luck on your cougar/sugarmomma search..

It all comes down to what a woman wants for her life LONGTERM. Many younger men are just living in the moment and having fun and thats fine but often the woman becomes more emotionally and physically invested so she has a lot more to lose after the guy drops her and starts chasing after his next bone. For women between 35 and 40, who strongly desire kids and have a small window for a healthy pregnancy, wasting time with a younger guy could result in her missing out on kids. Or even if she doesnt want kids, she could end up being with a younger guy who says he doesnt want kids at first but then changes his mind in his late 30s when most men start worrying about passing on their name and legacy. Which woman in her 40s wants to set herself up in a dating situation with a high probability of a breakup in 2-5 years, when she is getting older and her pool of eligible men is getting smaller? I think younger guys like you may want to consider pursuing women during that post-divorce one year window when most women are craving something short term , passionate and freeeeee! That's exactly what most younger guys seem to want SO ITS A PERFECT MATCH. A ton of fun without all the heartache. Good luck to you young lad!

I really would like to date a guy about my age. I will date a guy younger then me only if he is mentally mature and has his stuff together. I really want a relationship and I don't want to babysit him or care for him. I guess I can say I want a guy who knows the importance of taking care of his responsibilities. However... I don't want to date a guy too much older then me because then I have another issue. I am a very active person. I work full time and I come home to a farm to care for. I was in a prior relationship with a guy who was night years older then me which was not bad considering we got together when I was 30. Anyway, all he wanted to do was sit around all time and demanded that I do the same. He could not handle that I woke up in the morning full of energy to get stuff done during the day and literally demanded that I learn how to sit there in the morning and zone out like he does... sit there without talking... without thinking.. I could not do it. I am not an ADD person or anything. However, I do believe I like to stay active and I do not want to be with someone who is a stick in the mudd or has one foot in the grave. Lots of people look at me and wonder where I get all my energy from. I keep myself busy and I have fun living life and accomplishing my dreams and goals. I guess I want someone who has that same zeal for life.

I dated older women in my late teens.....yes, I had my "Summer of '42" three times....the women were about 8-10 years older....Now, I seem to be getting hit upon by much younger women, who probably subscribe to "its better to be an old man's darling than a young man's slave", but I am savvy to this game......its a drain on my you name it and its on the list...just saying...

I completely understand a younger man being attracted to a much older woman. When I was 24 I dated a woman that was 42. She was wonderful and very beautiful. I was so attracted to her maturity and the experiences she had. However, she seemed embarrassed when we went out together and unfortunately we didn't really have a lot to talk about. It didn't take her long for to get bored with me and it didn't last.

The only advantage of a much younger guy is the psychical part of a relationship.
Women in their 40s are more confident about themselves, and at their sexual peak. Guys have their sexual peak in their 20s / early 30s. So in that sense it's a perfect match. But only for that part ...

I still don't get why our creator pulled this trick on us women. I'd much rather share that with a man my own age ... But if you want seriously solid and/or 'ready to go for seconds' right away or within 15 mins ... you need a younger guy.
Other than that, I don't want a younger man. I need an emotionally and mentally mature man by my side as a life partner.

I'd be very interested to know how you can work 21.7 hours a day in the summer.

In my own experience dating younger women, majority seemed to have daddy issues, not all but most, I would think a lot of women would be uncomfortable
dating a man so much younger, not saying you are this way OP, but in majority of this type of relationship, not having much in common due to a vast age difference, and if the man has mommy issues it usually will present major issues (this would apply to either sex, marrying someone older, but then again the heart wants what the heart wants if u do pursue this type of relationship make certain it is for all the right reasons, I myself have a threshold regarding age. myself being 55 yrs I would date nobody under 45, been there tried that.
