"I'm a gentleman". I know male friends who tell me THEY are, but really they're just using it as an excuse to flirt with as many women as they can. It really IS an excuse. A true gentleman doesn't flirt with lots of women at once. He'd stick to one woman and keep putting effort into winning her over. The meaning of a gentleman seems to have been abandoned. A man who has to announce how "genuine" he is, is a bad sign. If he can't show it, then it means damn all.

but i see no woman ever visiting me

There's a lot of validity in what you are saying but I personally dont focus too much on the traditional requirements of a gentleman which is almost extinct as you so rightly said. My focus is on men who are at least decent enough to NOT mislead a woman about his intentions. There are men out there who announce from the onset that they don't want anything serious and wanna keep it light . In the chatroom world , such men will use code words in their profiles like "looking to date", "looking for an intimate encounter", "looking to have some fun/a good time/a few laughs", "want to keep it light", "looking for an activity partner." To me, all of these phrases imply that their focus is not on any one woman . And yet dozens of women will still entertain advances from those men . So in reference to your assessment of the men who flirt with MANY women, shouldn't we place some responsibility on the the women? Should we label a single man who announces his non-committed intentions and flirts with many women "ungentlemanly"? Or should we label the women who entertain advances from such men while expecting online monogamy "naive"? Maybe both labels are valid?

I think most women agree with you on that . A few men choose profile pics in which they actually look drunk. Maybe they do that to be funny and I have read a few profiles where the person gives off a rude vibe, but I guess I would have to know the people better to confirm if its true or not

Haha! It isn't as random as you might think. Some people read a deeper meaning into peoples mundane activities.For example, some people might perceive unmatching socks as a symbol of a disorganised or sloppy personality. I know it sounds crazy but some people are kinda extreme in their assessments
