say delete this email, when this woman is asking for some help from all you medics out there.

sinus does affect the teeth. it usually lasts for about 10-12 days, and is accompanied by yellow discharge, yacking and hacking. and lots of nose blowing. btw, you feel like hell.

you can either go to your doctor and get antibiotics, which is the easy and expensive thing to do, or you can suffer, and let it run it's course. it is up to you. all fyi.

My mom would put vick's vapor rub in boiling water. Put a sheet over our heads and have us breath in the steam. It didn't help at all...but it was fun pretending you were a ghost or goblinbigsmile bigsmile flowerforyou

I feel for ya....sinus infections hurt like hell.

To get some temporary relief, get a hot/warm compress (wash cloth works best) and put it across your forehead or the bridge of your nose and that will help some. Other wise buy up a boat load of decongestants so that helps breaks up some of the pressure.flowerforyou

You need to get to the doctor and listen to one lady on here telling you to get to your doctor and get on some antibiotics. I hate to say but common sense and not putting this on a community forum is the thing to do. Unless you have never ever had one then you are forgiven , but if you have you know what to do.
Also to all those who think I am - - - - - for giving this advice so be it, but older is wiser and I have raised and taken care of grown girls . Bet if she asked her mom her mom would give her the same advice. Sinus infections can very painful and can take a while to get better so the sooner you get some help the sooner you can feel betterflowerforyou happy

Been there done that got the tshirts, windows drilled and more...

Best advice which I do is a nasl wash.... and trust me the first time it burned, I used too much salt noway OMGnoway LOL

Here it is:
Nasal wash. Mix salt and water to taste like tears. Rinse each nostril by holding your head sideways over the sink and letting water run from the upper nostril to the lower nostril. Keep nostrils lower than throat to prevent salt water from draining into the back of the throat.

You can use a baby syringe also to slowly squirt it in sideways or in the shower and put some in your hand and hold one nostril while it goes up(might have to try snort if too clogged) the other one...

Dr. Oz on Oprah encouraged this awhile back but he uses a neti pot just for this purpose...

Here is the link:

Good Luckflowerforyou and make sure you stay away from dairy products and keep other liquids flowing through ya...

Oh man, I've wanted a neti pot for so long...I'm kinda scared of them though...

You said stay away from dairy? Why's that? I know it can coat your throat, but is there something else it does too?

The milk or dairy coagulates the nasal drainage and makes it thicker.... and the thickened drainage affects sore throats and hurting to swallow...and we all know too much drainage in your stomache makessick sick sick add a dairy and the stomache may blow noway sick sick frown embarassed

Netipots rock, I just have gotten used to using a cup.... I personally say go for it...

Clancybee's mum had done them wonders doing the vicks with the boiling water and sheet, I prefer the old wives tales of rubbing vicks onto your feet and big heavy socks....

And another thing I have done is with boiling water in pot use a high grade of tea tree oil about 5 drops into water and towel over your head for about 20 minutes....

Remember the 3 biggest absorbers are breathing something in, ingesting something and skin contact...

Hope this helps

p.s. This is all sound advice and yes you should consult your doctor, but doctors are paid to push drugs at us(fact).... sick? here's a pill.... sometimes there are other alternative methods available that once we keep out minds open to them, we won't be destroying our hot bods with the meds they push.... besides think about the super bugs now... our bodies build up a resistance because of all the anti-biotics out there they force on ya... I myself prefer to be an advocate for my own health and it is working
