why do people prefer to break up than working out a relationship???

Who says they do? That's just an assumption, you don't know what goes on in everybody else's life and why they make the choices they make.
We are lucky to have the option to break up so we don't have to stay in impossible relationships or relationships that do no longer nurture us. This is a time where many people choose to grow and develop and you can simply outgrow someone. Then both are better off when you split up. Bear in mind relationships should be about love, not about having to stay together for the wrong reasons (==> religion, societal expectations etc). I prefer the freedom of choice. |

Aretha Franklin - Respect http://youtu.be/6FOUqQt3Kg0/ so trust and respect are the only values that hold a relationship??? Without trust and respect, no relationship would thrive. It is presumed in the relationship love, chemistry, compatibility etc, is also there. |

I like your perks perceptive! a question, what if u have missed the perks in your life, however have retained only trust & respect...would u remain in that relationship? for how long? i am just curious! |

why do people prefer to break up than working out a relationship??? Breaking up is the hardest thing to do, it's never easy to let go of someone you love where you have thrived to sustain the relationship. Well, maybe you could only say it's easy when the love is already gone and when both are tired of trying to make it work out .......the only way out from a miserable life and to be happy is to let go, break up is the solution to start a new life. Love is supposed to be nurturing, both partners should grow and develop in their love for each other not hurting each other, and break you into pieces hampering your growth as an individual and losing your sanity and self respect in a dying relationship. If some people chose to break up, possibly because they already have been weary or worn out from an impossible relationship for a long time. |

Yeah I agree with both sides but sometimes ,,feelings get pushed down in a dark space ,couples forget about each other ,kids ,jobs ,social networking sites ,create a virtuail perfection ,without the daily living,I think we can all fall in love again

it takes two people to work things out, and sometimes one is unwilling to
sometimes its 'the grass is greener' syndrome or a feeling that they 'settled' and something better is around the corner and of course, it is always easier to only have to worry about ourselves every new relationship is putting 'work' into adapting to include someone else and their needs and wants and goals,, which is usually not going to be 'easier' |
