Im reading this topic,

when you post, you have to respect everyones opinion

I am sorry for your loss. I think most doctors have good hearts and try
to do their best, but sometimes the patient doesn't tell them
everything. If she was dealing with chronic pain, it would be easy for
her to see several docs and get lots of different meds. But you are
right, one of the docs should have been monitoring her meds and
overseeing her care. I wonder if she told them about each other? I am
dealing with something similar with a friend right now, she is in
chronic pain, on heavy duty painkillers, and depressed because of the
pain and the painkillers. Then on sleeping pills because can't sleep
because of the pain and had pneumonia so was on cough syrup with
narcotic in it -more depressing med. Anyway, I called her on the
weekend, a couple of weeks ago, she wouldn't answer, then I get an
e-mail and she is making out her will and asking me if I will take
responsibility of making sure everybody gets what she wants them to get.
Scared me to death. She lives about 30 miles away. I got in the car and
drove in there and spent the afternoon with her and made sure she was
alright, reinforcing that these meds are all depressants, and make her
more depressed. I am so sorry for your loss, and wish there was
something I could say to help you feel better, but only time will help.
I will be praying for you and her children.
