i've used e-harmony and i thought i wasted my money.. they matched me with women who arn't interested in me and i hated reading the reasons why closed me off their match list.. i mostly get "other" as their multiple choice reason.. that dateing service is a liar. why blow out your money to a website that dont guarantee? but nah.. im better off using a free website like this one!

Different things fwork for different people. If you met someone amazing on there, then, that's wonderful. But I personally think it's fake. I'm with a modeling agency, and they even said that they use ACTORS for commercials like that.

eHarmonica told me I was unmatchable! Can you believe it?

Well, wait, now that I think about it....

OK, but that Neil Patrick Harris guy who runs it, is obviously doing something underhanded, because look at the people in their commercials. Would YOU want to go out with them? They scare me.

I've had mixed results with eHarmony.

I met my ex through it and while that relationship turned sour, I was generally satisfied with the service. I had a comfortable number of matches, a good variety (ie: it didn't look like all of my matches were compatible with me for the exact same reasons) and a satisfying amount of communication going on. That was about two or two and a half years ago.

When I decided that I wanted to get back into the dating game again recently, I decided to resubscribe to eHarmony. My results this time around have been considerably worse. I have had plenty of matches, but there's not as much variety. I have also had very little communication. eHarmony lets people create a profile without paying. I have a feeling that the 7 stale matches I have that haven't responded to my initial request for communication fall into that category. It may have been a good dating service at one time, but I don't think I will renew my subscription when it runs out.

and one huge, huge setback for eharmony is that they don't match homosexual singles...You can't just forget or ignore a huge group of people if you're a dating site.

eHarmony is neither forgetting nor ignoring homosexual singles. I have every reason to believe that the decision to exclude them from the service is deliberate and conscientious. Dr. Warren is an evangelical Christian. It would be inconsistent with his moral outlook if he promoted or abetted homosexual relationships. It may not be the most economically sound decision, but I commend his commitment to his principles.

I have been informed that my "unmatchable" status was a result of my not sharing in their religious beliefs. They don't want no got-damn atheistical bastids over there!

I guess "Harmony" just means you have to conform to some religious fundamentalist nutjob's value system! Sounds more like brainwashing, but what do I know? I'm unmatchable....

I signed up for eHarmony too. Got one date off it, she was ok and I wouldn't mind being friends but certainly not the girl of my dreams.

Yeah I came up with no matches as well. I hate how the commercial always seems to leave out that 1 in 4 people wont be able to be matched after filling out that survey..

I've had quite a few matches, 90% don't even respond. Why do people bother?

If he calls himself a "christian" then he shouldn't discriminate against other people because of their lifestlyes. And that seems like that's exactly what they are doing.

Yeah...It kinda defeats the purpose if your match is far away like that.
