Topic: Why do so many women hate Shirtless Pictures? | |

that's better just cuz some of us are hairier than most doesn't mean we have thicker skin

It looks like a man can't afford to buy a shirt. |

To me it's a bit like they're trying to overcompensate. I like to flatter myself that women might actually fancy me without me having to take my shirt off.
I'm comfortable about taking my shirt off in public when we actually get any sun here but I think that I would feel a bit silly putting a picture like that on here, if for no other reason than it's going to make me look like a bunch of other guys that do that. They look silly to me. Well, they would do if I looked at them. I'm not even bothered if some women do want to see that or not. It's not just women that think that you look like a fanny if you do that. |

Chuck Norris doesn't take half-nekkid selfies. Justin Bieber does. Damn straight!!!!!!...and I'll take Chuck over Justin ANY DAY, clothes or no clothes. |

I'm not a women so I can only venture guess as to why.
My guess is they think of it the same way most guys (well at least myself), think when I see a selfie with a duck face and pointed down the front of her shirt. I honestly can't help myself from making a snap judgement on that persons intelligence. She may be a nuclear physicist, with her Doctorate, but I honestly wouldn't ask, and may not believe her even if she said so. I think shirtless pictures are probably seen the same way, I'd surmise you come across as lacking depth. You can tell who's busted their butt in the gym even with their clothes on. The same way I can tell a girl has a nice body without the need to look down her top. oh and I understand that you're proud of your hard worm in the gym, I venture most don't realize how much of a commitment it takes to be in really good shape, but there are other ways to show your hard work without coming off douchy, have someone take a pic of you when playing beach volleyball, or snorkeling, at a waterpark, etc....basically any place where being shirtless is actually expected. but that's just my opinion, and you know what they say we all have them |

I would really like to know why most females think this is such a bad thing?
"Most" don't. "Most" don't care. "Most" just form their own opinion, if they even see your picture, keep it to themselves, and move on. I just would like to here a good explanation to why guys shirtless pictures are so bad online?
They aren't, except to a vocal minority. There's never going to be a time when you don't offend someone simply by existing. If you post a pic of you and a fish, someone's going to complain. If you post a pic with you and other people, someone's going to complain. If you take a selfie, someone's going to complain. If you take a selfie in the bathroom mirror, someone's going to complain. They aren't going to be the same people complaining for each case. Or there will be one or two that are complaining about them all and you will focus on them as a figurehead of a giant group of organized complainers. From your perspective they are going to look like "most" people. But they're not. |

I believe, in general, natural looking photos are preferred over staged
I mean, a woman probably wont post a photo in her wedding dress,,as lovely as she may look in it similarly, a guy without his shirt, unless it is a natural shot of him at the beach or a pool,,, seems a bit too much over the line of confident and more into the line of cocky unless of course he is the mcconaughey type that actually DOES walk around under normal circumstances without a shirt ,,jmho |

My honest opinion and thoughts.
It reminds me of peewee Herman. Man that dudes loves himself, he thinks he has a body lol . All he wants is sex. Your actions speak louder than your words and that action gets you want you really want. So why don't you just plainly say you want sex. Lol this is said very calmly and nice. |

I thought of that too like a female who wears thing short enough to see the bottom of her behind,,the point is to draw all the attention to the body parts, and inspire lust,,, so women who are seeking sex are using the right tactic, and men are doing the same when they go out their way to draw so much attention to their body parts .... |

that's better just cuz some of us are hairier than most doesn't mean we have thicker skin Yes, you're right! Let's give some yummie examples of famous people with a nice full chest of hair (other than Chuck) to make up for it ... Pierce Brosnan Sullivan Stapleton Burt Reynolds always did well with the ladies. So did... Tom Jones Oh... and there's Tom Selleck! |

I'm actually kind of slighted there as a Scotsman that Sean Connery wasn't top of that list and didn't even get on it.

I'm not sure if he's got a lot of chest hair ... if he does, he sure as heck will make the list! Sean is like good wine, only gets better with age! The list ain't finite either btw .. . . |

and you thought of which one all the way through tai che? From that list it would be Sullivan Stapleton |

Very simply put, when guys post "shirtless pictures", it looks like they are desperate for attention. That, or they figure it will make them more appealing as a potential date or mate. (I even know females that prefer guys on the huskier side, and find muscles a turn off.)
I really do understand that some guys spend a lot of time in the gym and have put serious effort into sculpting their physiques; however, sometimes showing less is more. Women dig confidence, but going shirtless over the internet can inevitably have the opposite effect, reeking of insecurity and cockiness. It may look good (to some), but ultimately is not a good look~ |
