Good evening all you brothers and sisters in christ. I have my hands a lil full with a couple of threads...But wants to remind people tomorrow to give thanks to the Almighty God...and to have a most pleasant fun Thanksgiving...

For with God nothing shall be impossible. -- Luke 1:37

Some things have to be believed to be seen. - Ralph Hodgson

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. -- Hebrews 11:1

Faith leads us beyond ourselves. It leads us directly to God. -- Pope John Paul II

No cloud can overshadow a true Christian but his faith will discern a rainbow in it. -- Bishop Horne

The person who has a firm trust in the Supreme Being is powerful in his power, wise by his wisdom, happy by his happiness. -- Joseph Addison

I am one of those who would rather sink with faith than swim without it. -- Stanley Baldwin

Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light. -- Helen Keller

Faith in God, faith in man, faith in work: this is the short formula in which we may sum up the teachings of the founders of New England,—a creed ample enough for this life and the next. -- James Russell Lowell

Let us have faith that right makes might; and, let us to the end dare to do our duty. -- Abraham Lincoln

Peace be with you.

"No doubt [women of faith in the past] were reproached for His name's sake, and accounted mad women; but they had a faith which enabled them at that time to overcome the world, and by which they climbed up to heaven".

oh I like that one Britty.....What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Are you going out of town?

No, this year I am staying home and making dinner for a couple of friends - so it will be pretty easy for me. Not having family here I have had Thanksgiving with lots of different friends and their families over the years. Sometimes, I did not know where I would be until a short time before the day - God has shown me some amazing things through the years. I think it is part of why I enjoy this particular holiday so much.

I think we should all enjoy the day tomorrow and focus on the Lord, our families, friends and all our many blessings and also pray for those who are not so fortunate.

Blessings to you Deb..

I shall probably stop by in here some time tomorrow. Peace.

"No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful.
Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it." Hebrews 12:11 (NIV)

When an area of our lives is being strengthened we can expect to feel a certain amount of pain.
This might be when we try again after a discouragement, loving after heartache, learning to trust again.

A certain amount of pain is not necessarily a bad thing. Looking at the end result can help us to recognize if the pain has been helpful. Hebrews 12:11 tells of the promise of the pain of discipline: "a harvest of righteousness and peace."

Here is a verse I have not seen in a while. Not sure who wrote it but I enjoy reading it every time I come across it.

Friendship is a PRICELESS GIFT
that cannot be bought or sold,
but it's value is far greater
than a mountain made of GOLD!
For gold is cold and lifeless,
it can neither see nor hear
AND in the time of trouble
it is powerless to cheer-
it has no ears to listen
Nor hear to understand,
it cannot bring you comfort
or reach out a helping hand
So when you ask
GOD FOR A GIFT
Be thankful if HE sends
NOT DIAMONDS, PEARLS OR RICHES
BUT THE LOVE OF REAL TRUE FRIENDS

Good morning Wouldee. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Winnie - It's not easy taking care of family matters, doctor visits and all the activities that come with preparations for the holidays. I trust that the breathing treatments are helping your son and he will start to feel some relief.

I recently received three books I ordered by Frank E Peretti after feralcat mentioned them - fiction for a change. I am looking forward to getting into them.

Yesterday morning I went off to the gym for a little while and again this morning. Once I can get it into my schedule its not so bad.

Blessings all, flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou
