i do not think it is.
i am visiting both male and female members' profiles.
Just out of curiosity, sometimes just to make sure i remember the person correctly (i mean the forum members), sometimes because of a thread post i look at the profile.
if i am on mobile, very possibly i click on the profile by mistakeslaphead

of course after this comment, if i fancy someone from here and even if i click on his profile a 100 times he will not understand that it is a signal

^^^^ I know some of us guys on here are a little slow on the uptake, but we would have to be really dim to ignore something like that, but by sending an email as well, it would probably avoid any misinterpretation.

on here? if you are a regular poster and another regular poster visits your profile it's usually referred to as perving ya..really it just means they are curious and want to take a look at something or read it.

nope not same as a nudge

This is the only site, that I know that people refer to it as ' perving '... as if there is something wrong or dirty or sexual about wanting to know something about a stranger before you message, or post to them... slaphead & then there are those who say people only look at a pic & don't read profiles. slaphead

"Perving" is not new. Even back in the AOL days and an abundance of chat rooms.

profiles are made public to be viewed , when you view someone's profile that means you view it , no more .. no less , it doesn't mean that you're interested in its owner .

No, people are just curious like in the forums sometimes you just want to see who is behind the comments they made.

Hi mingle2 mates. I like reading community threads and the main reason I am still here.

Sometimes after reading a thread I get so curious that I read the writer's profile. Surprisingly this occassionally attracts some writers to e-mail me. Some are younger than my youngest child. One wrote ''I am sorry with me you have to prove who you are first...''.

Is looking at a profile suggestive?

No, looking at a profile is not suggestive nor it is equivalent to a nudge. Those young women who emailed you simply because you looked at their profiles, must be also curious why a much older guy would be viewing their profiles. Perhaps, they need a sugar daddy and you could be it.

As Sigmund Freud purportedly said: Sometimes a cigar, is just a cigar.

Reading someone's profile several times is demonstrating some level of interest I think, but we are all adults here.

If someone is interested , they need to be a big boy or a big girl about it and send a message

I used to, but too much of a waste of time now.
Now i just read profiles because i'm nosey, or bored, or both bigsmile

I hear ya giantowl.drinker

Based upon the reoccurring complaints we hear in the threads, alot of people are focusing now on the entertainment value and social merits of the chatroom , as opposed to the romantic part.

At least we're developing some lovely friendships out of it

When I get a nudge from someone, I think they are showing that that they have an interest in me but they want me to respond back. If someone is looking at my profile, it doesn't mean much. That's why we are here. When someone looks at my profile a lot, why not write to me? Sometimes I read a profile and don't remember it, so read it again.
